Her family says she was last seen on July 7th and may be in the company of her boyfriend.

Jenkins is a white female, 5 foot 7 inches, 115 pounds with hazel eyes and brown shoulder length hair.

The Lee County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in locating a missing teenager.

According to a press release:




Chelsey Jenkins, 17, was last seen by her family on July 7, 2008. The family believes Jenkins ran away from the family's residence in North Fort Myers and may be in the company of her boyfriend.

Jenkins is a white female, 5-foot-7 inches, 115 pounds with hazel eyes and brown shoulder length hair.
If you know the whereabouts of Jenkins, please call the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 477-1000, or Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.

Hi, We both posted almost same time. Almost 5 days since she "ran away",
according to LE. Scary, always hope for a family reconcilliation, but, in back of mind there is the horror. Wish they had more information on the boyfriend,
car etc.
Typical for Newspress, lack of info. I'll keep an eye out. NBC-2 has the same info.

Did something happen that made her run off with him?
Has this happened before?
Age of boyfriend and possible transportation?
Does boyfriend have a record of any kind?

Praying wherever she is that she is safe and will contact her family . . .

I see no updates, no info on boyfriend either. Really just her picture, has anyone seen her kind of thing. Would be good to have more information if she is in a vehicle, boyfriend car, is he under 18 as well? Frustrating

I see no updates. A poster commenting on the article with her missing at the WWW.news-press.com says her parents know she ran away with her boyfriend, they really don't want the public involved since this will taint any help they may need in the future. Can't document where this came from so, heresay or babble. Does certainly sound like a habitual thing or family problem and maybe they just reported to LE since she is underage, at any rate hope all works out and we read she has been found and safe at home.

Missing teen found safe over the weekend

The Lee County Sheriff's Office reported this morning at that a missing North Fort Myers teen was found unharmed over the weekend.

Chelsey Jenkins, 17, was reported missing by her family on Monday, July 7, 2008. At the time, the family believed Jenkins ran away from the family's residence in North Fort Myers and may have been in the company of her boyfriend.

The Sheriff's Office issued a missing person notice last week, seeking help from the community on tips of where the teen might be.
