KNOXVILLE (WVLT) – The Knoxville Police Department has issued an endangered child alert for a missing teenage girl.

Sarah Holland, 14 was last seen leaving the Runaway Shelter on E. 5TH Avenue in Knoxville on Thursday with a juvenile male. She was wearing a long sleeve white shirt and plaid pants at the time. Police believe she may be staying with a 44 year-old white male in either Maryville of Knox County.

She is described as 5’03, weighing 135 lbs., with blonde hair and blue eyes.

Please cancel the Endangered Child Alert issued by the Knoxville Police Department. Sarah was recovered safely this morning after contacting family and law enforcement has been able to verify that she is with family at this time. Sarah Holland was last seen at the Runaway Shelter in Knoxville, TN on July 10, 2008. Sarah left the facility with a male juvenile. She is a 14 year old white female. She is 5'03" and weighs 135 lbs. She has blonde hair and blue eyes. Sarah was last seen wearing a long sleeve white shirt and plaid pants. Sarah may possibly be with a 44 year old white male in the Maryville or Knoxville, TN area. UPDATED: Endangered child alert canceled after teen located

A teenager missing since Thursday was back with family Saturday.
The Knoxville Police Department issued an endangered child alert for 14-year old Sarah Holland late Friday.

Police said the girl was was last seen leaving the Runaway Shelter with an young man on July 10, and may have later been with a 44-year old man in the Maryville area.
Saturday evening, however, police canceled the alert, saying the girl had contacted her family earlier in the day. Law enforcement did verify the girl was with her family before canceling the alert.
