and I will tell you one.

I love tv land and watch it a lot...

On Hogan's Heroes...

the blond guy Carter(Larry Hovis) almost turned the job down. None of the guys were married and they were all told no wedding rings on the set. He refused to remove his ring. They compromised by having him wear gloves in all of his scenes.

What a sweet guy...

Here's one.

One of my favorite TV shows of all time was (is?) M*A*S*H.

Gary Burghoff, who played Corporal Walter Eugene "Radar" O'Reilly. He was the only cast member of the movie M*A*S*H who was cast as a regular on the TV series.

He started his show business career as a musician (drummer) even though his left hand is withered and misshapen with the fingers being very short-- birth defect (?). In M*A*S*H, he is often seen carrying a clipboard or other object to conceal the defect.

I'll never watch M*A*S*H the same way again....

I'll be watching Radar's hand...

You all know who Sam Elliott is, don't you? You'd recognize that voice of his anywhere, right?

Well...... His bare-buns scene in "The Legacy" (1978) earned the highest rating (3 stars) from "The Bare Facts" -- a printed guide to nudity in movies.

Well, I gotta admit the sigh.....:kissyface4: is a serious fact as it relates to him, but hardly "little known". :67302:

Before the singing group, Fleetwood Mac first became popular, a little known fact is Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham were soooo poor that Stevie cut her own hair, which resembled a scraggly shag, and then it became a sensation (when they became well-known) in which girls were trying to copy. All Stevie did was use scissors and cut her stick straight hair.

She got a laugh over that.

Chevy Chase, David Alan Grier, Ice Cube, Dave Chappelle and John Travolta all turned down the role of Bubba in Forrest Gump.

The real guy who played Bubba was Mykelti Williamson - I never heard of him after that - do you know if he made any more pictures - I LOVE Forest Gump!!

Here are two fun facts for the price of one. Saturday Night Live alumni, Chevy Chase played drums in a rock band while in college, with the founders of Steely Dan, Donald Fagen Walter Becker.

Stephen Stills once auditioned for the Monkees, as the story goes he was turned down because he had bad teeth.

Cary Grant's real name was Archibald Leach.

I love this comment of Cary Grant's. He said, "Everyone wants to be Cary Grant; I'd like to be Cary Grant." I guess inside he was still Archie Leach.

All the more reason to find Mr. Grant a charming man. I'm a lesbian and even I'm not immune to his charm. :kissyface4:

Here's another interesting fact about "Bubba". The actor who played him?... pronounces "Mykelti" as "Michael Tee".

After Bubba, Williamson was in Waiting to Exhale (1995); Heat (1995); Free Willy 2: The Adventure Home (1995), and starred alongside Nicolas Cage in Con Air (1997).

Williamson was also seen in Mike Nichols' political drama Primary Colors (1998) (a cameo appearance which he did as a personal favor to Nichols and John Travolta) and Three Kings (1999), opposite George Clooney, Mark Wahlberg and Ice Cube.

A search also shows a LOT of TV work. He's a busy guy.
