I was hoping for some information on the shooter by tonight so our community would sleep a bit safer but no such luck. They believe he did die in the house fire and how he would escape considering the building was surrounded immediately by LE would be nearly immposible...but still, we all hoped for answers.

Sumanadevil, I don't live in Maplewood, but I live very close to Clayton and Big Bend. Many prayers for the residents of Maplewood and for a young hero's family. It's been a horrible day.

I don't either House but my son works in a city that is close to Maplewood and happened to be nearby when the call came in. How sad for the family of this young man and for their community. The area has had two recent shootings like this ..in small cities that our forces have answered. Not long ago in Kirkwood and now in Maplewood. Why? I do not know if we will find an answer. They have few clues on this one thus far. Maybe today news will break.
