Family Says Teen Mother and Baby Missing
STARKE, FL -- She left her drivers license behind, and that's not all.
"Right now my concern is her and the baby," said Annette Jackson. "She didn't take a change of clothes, no milk, no Pampers, no nothing."
Jackson is worried about her 16-year-old sister LaShaun Kelly and the girl's 4-month-old daughter Izzarriya.
Jackson filed a report with the Starke Police Department three weeks ago and filed a report with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Tuesday.
Jackson says the teen and the baby went with a cousin to meet a few men from Jacksonville on June 29.
"All I know is that they been having conversation on the chat line," said Jackson. "I don't know anything about them." The cousin tells the family that she offered to take the baby from Kelly when she left, but Kelly said no because she would be leaving soon as well.
Investigators with the Starke Police Department say Kelly was reported missing in May too, and there are no signs of an abduction and not enough to warrant an Amber Alert.
Jackson is adamant something is wrong.
"This is not like her. She'd have been calling me, my daddy, her friends or somebody. She hasn't called anybody."
The missing child notice from the Starke Police Department says the family states Kelly has parenting issues that make them fear for the safety of the infant child. If you have any information, call the Starke Police Department at 904-964-5400, or our partner First Coast Crime Stoppers at 1-866.845-TIPS.
