PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- The search continues for a missing Seminole teenager.


Kaci Kae Smith, 17, was last seen at Dixie Hollins High School in St. Petersburg on July 16.


The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office said she's about 5'6" and weighs about 125 pounds. She has brown, shoulder-length hair and brown eyes.


Smith requires daily medication that she did not take with her. Officials say that if she doesn't take her medication, she could experience life-threatening medical issues.


Anyone with information regarding Smith's whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Sheriff's Office at 727-582-6200.

SEMINOLE - The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's help in locating a missing and endangered Seminole teenager.

Kaci Kae Smith, 17, was last seen at Dixie Hollins High School, located at 4940 62nd Street North in St. Petersburg at about 5:50 p.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2008. She was reported missing at about 9 p.m.

According to a press release from the sheriffs’ office, Smith is a ward of the state and resides at the O’Hana House located at 8825 Magnolia Drive in Seminole.

She is described as a white female weighing about 125 pounds and who stands about 5 feet 6 inches tall with brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes.

Foul play is not suspected, however Kaci requires daily medication that she did not take with her. Without this medication she could experience potentially life threatening medical problems, which is why she is considered missing and endangered.

Her photograph and description has been broadcast to law enforcement agencies in the Tampa Bay area as well as posted on the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children Web site at www.missingkids.com (http://www.tbnweekly.com/scripts/jumplink.php?url=www.missingkids.com).

Kaci Kae Smith has returned to where she was living. PINELLAS COUNTY (Bay News 9) --

A missing Seminole teen has returned to the group home where she has been living, the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office says.

She is fine, and she told deputies she had been staying with a friend in Tampa.

Smith, 17, had been last seen at Dixie Hollins High School in St. Petersburg on July 16.

There was concern about her welfare as she is required to take certain medication on a regular basis.
