July 27, 2008, 9:06 AM PDT
PASADENA -- Pasadena police sought the public's help today in finding a 10-year-old autistic boy who wandered away from the home he shares with his grandmother.
DaJuan Elliot Brown was last seen about 4 p.m. Saturday near 1256 N. Wilson Ave., Pasadena police Lt. Randell Taylor said.
DaJuan is black, about 5 feet 4 inches and 140 pounds, with light skin and a short afro hairstyle, police said. He was last seen in a white T-shirt, beige shorts and black-and-white tennis shoes.
He is slightly autistic, but he knows where he lives, Taylor said.
DaJuan lives with his grandmother. Police were looking for his mother, who is estranged from the family, police said.
Police using scent dogs and a helicopter searched unsuccessfully for DaJaun Saturday night.
Anyone with more information as to his whereabouts was asked to call the Pasadena police at (626) 744-4620 or (626) 744-4241.
