I heard that too...It just bothers me...that there was no organized searching done...I realize that Casey didn't say anything for a month, and if Cindy hadn't called LE it still would have not been known...

2 Weeks have gone by since LE found out...and I realize Baez is telling Casey to keep quiet...which ties LE hands to a degree...but you would think by now, they would have her phone records, statements from friends as to where she was on certain dates, and go from there....

I've gotten so upset and gone off on posters just because I wonder was there ever ONE person in this babies life, sperm donors included, that was excited about her existence? She had no Dad really. Her mother was/is too young and has some kind of personality disorder, GM to me, is a major whack job and not a pleasant human being, and the GP strikes me as a pushover.

I've tried to step back because it's just so upsetting to me that some people are born with no chance and I struggle with the whys...........being a person of faith. There are plenty of people that would have adopted that babe if Casey wasn't capable/willing to being a Momma.

We have to take driving tests to drive a car. We go to school to learn to read and learn. We take upper education so we can develop a skill/profession that not all can comprehend...............................I know our US rights and what our country fought so hard for would be compromised, but I think underage pregnancy should be the same, or pregnancy in general... Take a test........mental competency, maturity, past/drug/alcohol issues, stability and father figure to support child.........etc etc..........and if one fails, then they give that baby up for adoption and they are not given their "driver's license". Errrrrr, so irritated with this case........sorry for the vent. I just don't understand. Caylee always looked so happy in pics, I don't get why this has happened to her, because she sure doesn't deserve it............

No.. ITA Trailblazerj. Even if they have evidence that makes them think Caylee's no longer with us, they should be searching. A body won't last long in the heat and humidity. I'm surprised they didn't do searches around where the car was found, the sawgrass appts.. wooded areas etc. wonder if they have any cell pings.. can they trace that after the fact?

Actually, at the very beginning of this, I had been doing genealogy research and hadn't listened to any news programs.

I swore after following the Natalee Holloway and Trenton Duckett cases ad nauseum, I'd never follow another one like those. They took so much out of me and in the end, no results.

But this case had the freaky Cindy & Casey bizzaro, I got hooked! Casey just seemed so strange and then I heard Cindy so looney....well, I had to stay tuned. :girl_haha:

hey ya'll, i've been scarce lately but i have a good excuse. my dil had a lil girl on thursday, soooo, we're all home and now i doubt i'll ever catch up but thanks to faith for keeping me up to date.

Actually, at the very beginning of this, I had been doing genealogy research and hadn't listened to any news programs.

I swore after following the Natalee Holloway and Trenton Duckett cases ad nauseum, I'd never follow another one like those. They took so much out of me and in the end, no results.

But this case had the freaky Cindy & Casey bizzaro, I got hooked! Casey just seemed so strange and then I heard Cindy so looney....well, I had to stay tuned. :girl_haha:

I've been really involved in many, many cases but I have to say THIS one really takes the cake as far as being SO SO SO bizarre. That's what hooked me from Day One. So many cases are heartbreaking, for so many reasons, so many are "interesting"....but this one is really unique, I think.

I think you have a good point. I know it's becoming an automatic assumption that a parent must have done something bad to the missing child, and the rare exception is Elizabeth Smart or Jessica Lunsford. If by some chance Casey didn't kill Caylee then somebody needs to start telling the truth so there will be more interest in finding a live Caylee, imo.
