This just disgusts me. This could happen to any of us. Those poor dogs.

I agree with you! This should never have happened and it's clear there wasn't a lot of work put into investigating them in the first place. But, never the less, shooting one of the dogs as it was running away is unforgivable.
Hopefully, it will be a warning to LE everywhere not to act without fully knowing the facts. And for heaven's sake call the aspca to meet them there and take control over the animals.

"Calvo said he was astonished that police have not only failed to apologize, but declined to clear the couple's names.
His wife spoke through tears as she described an encounter with a girl who used to see the couple walking their dogs.
"She gave me a big hug and she said, `If the police shot your dogs dead and did this to you, how can I trust them?'" Tomsic said. "I don't want people to feel like that. I just want them to be proud of our police and proud to live in Prince George's County."

Hello everyone,
...new member here...:happy0207:
I watched this on the news last night and read several pieces about it today and I am just stunned at the how this "sting" operation was handled. I feel really terrible for that family. Hopefully something good will come out of the investigation of how this was handled.
