Search On For Man Who Walked Away From Nursing Home

Police hope the public can help find a man who walked away from his nursing home.

John Woodley, 71, was last seen Sunday afternoon at the Avante assisted living facility in St. Cloud.

He left the home on Kansas Avenue without his medication.

St. Cloud police said Woodley doesn't have any friends or family in the area.

I hope and pray he is somewhere safe! Elderly people are just as vulnerable as little children! It's just so sad.

A pregnant woman and an elderly man reported missing have been found, St. Cloud police reported.

Both 22-year-old Judith A. Garcia, first reported missing on Aug. 10, and 71-year-old John Woodley, who disappeared from the Avante assisted living facility in St. Cloud, have been found safely.

Woodley was found in a hospital in Sanford. A taxi driver reported to police that she picked a man matching his description across the street from Avante. He had asked her to drive him to the Winter Park area, but, on the way, began to not feel well. She ended up dropping him off at the hospital instead, she said.

Garcia was found with her boyfriend, Jorge Burgos-Dedos, at the Chalet Motel in Kissimmee. An Osceola County Sheriff’s Office deputy saw her vehicle in the motel’s parking lot and found the couple. Burgos-Dedos was arrested for an outstanding warrant.
