Duh, I am having trouble remembering all the facts tonight. Has Casey's cell phone & sims card ever been found?
:smiley_aasg:
Well "SHE SAID" that she lost her blackjack at the Blanchard park place...... but her OTHER phone and sims card have been recovered. As best as I can tell casey thought the blackjack "Calls" couldn't be traced because it was lost BUT she had the sims card in the OTHER phone. Not the brightest bulb in the box as far as I can tell ROFLMAO

EXCERPT
WESH 2 has learned about offers of more than $1 million for Casey Anthony to tell her story.
A defense fund is also in the process of being established for her.
A spokesman for Jose Baez said offers have come in as high as $1.5 million for book rights, movie rights, TV deals, even a pay-per-view offer.
"I can tell you just for interview areas alone they can range from $50,000 to $350,000. We've even had an offer come from an overseas company that specializes in pay per view and those offers can exceed $1 million," Jose Baez Law Firm spokesman Todd Black said.
Black said they're listening to all offers but for now not accepting anything.

Thats why we the people (and parents of murder victims) need to push Federal and State lawmakers to pass a bill BEFORE and not after a conviction to keep people from profiting off a victim.

Thanks. I thought I remembered the phone with sims was lost. I must admit that I am kind of shocked that Casey would not know call records are always available from the cell provider. At any rate, she obviously did not know her pc held search information like: Chloroform.
Not very bright in that regard at all. Agree.

Actually, I have two line of thought on this subject.
1. Baez obviously released it, but for what purpose? Perhaps he wants to push LE in to arresting her for murder.
2. If LE does not arrest her for murder, Baez might believe he can have her prison term reduced to less than a couple years because it is her first time offense. Then with good behavior she could get out in under a year.
That gives her the rest of her life to enjoy the money.

Got to ask your opinion.
I"ve thought about this over & over.
Ok, Casey did not report her child missing. Casey continued to party, cook, clean for b/friend like life was normal.
What do you think she was planning to do? What do you think was going through this girl's mind.
Was she planning to never see her parents again and thus would not have to explain the whereabouts of Caylee?
I mean if Cindy had not tracked her down who would even know Caylee is missing now.
I just wonder what you all think. I mean it is not like you can just get rid of your child and no one takes notice. Any thoughts?

The very thought of Casey getting a "deal" with a "light sentence" makes me sick. I want the justice system to work in this case and I want Casey to sit in a jail cell.
I've always believed that people who are convicted of murder should stay in a jail cell as long as their victim has to stay in their grave. When the dead victims get a second chance at life then let their killers get a second chance. Until that happens, no dice as far as I am concerned.

If you are asking my opinion, here it is:
First, I don't think reality plays a big part in Casey's real life.
Second, she might have imagined Tony falling in love with her and they would move away and start a new life together.
Third, I think she made up the kidnap story when she was cornered by Cindy.

Sometimes attys will put out info to assist the prosecution. They can't say anything specific, but if they don't believe their client or have info that a murder was definitely committed, this is a way to help their conscience and not lose their license to practice.

If its murder or manslaughter, unless she has been in jail a long time while waiting to go on trial (would be time served), she will not escape prison. If I'm not mistaken, FL doesn't let insanity be a reason for defense.

I wonder if LE hasn't checked G & C's cell bills. With a warrant it can be done. I retired from AT&T and know it can be done.
Yes and if LE sends AT&T or other phone company a court order, they can obtain the records from the land line. Not sure how long those land line records are retained now but 3 years ago, AT&T was able to go back and give me records for 2 years.

In the case of a warrant, AT&T can go back beyond 2 yrs. It takes awhile, but it can be done. When I worked in that division, we went back almost 8 yrs on a case. Cell records I didn't handle so I'm not sure.

I don't want to see any deals either, but she is entitled to the same treatment the law provides to others. So, IF LE does not charge her with any new charges she might plead down to just a few years and then time off for good behavior cutting it down more.
I'm hoping, as you are, that she will (at least) be charged with a homicide and not plead it down to manslaughter. IIRC manslaughter is usually a
(3) A person who causes the death of any person under the age of 18 by culpable negligence under s. 827.03(3) commits aggravated manslaughter of a child, a felony of the first degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, or s. 775.084.

Black said they're listening to all offers but for now not accepting anything.
source: http://www.wesh.com/news/17432283/detail.html
As I read this, 3 thoughts immediately came to my mind:
1. there are "compelling reasons" that Casey will not talk,
2. a defense fund is being established; on NG it was stated that offers are being considered but not accepted - they may be if needed for the defense fund (I believe, but am not absolutely positive, that this came from the PR firm's press release;) there seems - to me - to be considerable pride in the fact that these offers are being received,
3. why is a defense fund that will solicit funds to defend Casey being set up when she is charged with relatively minor offenses?
At that point, the blood rushed to my head and I now have a pounding headache - I'll have to think about this in a bit, but my own version of "excited utterances" make me want to scream.
My thoughts only. IMO - JMO - MOO

The Amscot is directly at the corner of the intersection. Next to the Amscot, but set way back off the road is the Sam's Club. That is one of the places where I passed out flyers on Saturday just after her first arrest. I think it was on 6/19/08.

High-profile lawyer Mark NeJame - who is representing George and Cindy Anthony - plan to make a national media blitz Wednesday in effort to get the public's focus off his clients and on the search for their missing granddaughter, 3-year-old Caylee Marie. Missing-children organization Never Lose Hope Foundation helped the Anthony's retain NeJame who is working at a reduce rate.

The Never Lose Hope Foundation, Inc. was organized as a Florida nonprofit on April 30, 2007, exclusively for charitable purposes. Never Lose Hope Foundation, Inc.’s 501(c)(3) status is currently pending with the Internal Revenue Service, but the organization has secured fiscal sponsorship from Citylinks 4Charities, Inc., a nonprofit organization based in Orlando, Florida. Through this program, City Links will provide oversight and allocation of all funding for our activities until we have received our 501 determination.
Contributions to support the efforts of the Never Lose Hope Foundation are welcome and greatly appreciated. To make a tax-deductible donation to assist NLHF in finding missing children, please make checks payable to City Links 4Charities, Inc., and note that the donation is for the Never Lose Hope Foundation fund. There are a dozen billboards local businesses donated that feature messages to help find Caylee Anthony. The donated billboard and donations from an exotic car dealer of $200,000 for a reward leading to Caylee's safe return are the work of The Never Lose Hope Foundation. It registered as a corporation in Florida just a year ago.
The foundation uses a reverse 911-type technology to allow relatives of missing kids, like Caylee's grandfather, to send recorded messages to thousands of residents at once appealing for tips.

I would bet that LE has ALL the records of everyone and they are going over them with a fine tooth comb. I wouldn't want that job on a bazillion years.
I've done exactly that - for business reasons - it's amazing how determined you can become when you're looking for small details. I didn't have the extensive records that LE has, of course, but I dug through lots of info. Even basic cell records hold many secrets that are easily picked up once you know what you're searching for. JMO
This is simply my take, MOO, IMO, JMO. I don't think that Casey was planning to do anything; she was too wrapped up in Casey to give it a thought. At some point, she obviously cooked up this elaborate story that she has been telling, but my guess she would have continued to tell people Caylee was with the nanny for as long as she could - at that point, she might she tell people that Caylee had gone to live with relatives or even been adopted. If Cindy hadn't received the notice that her car had been towed, who knows how long she would have continued to demand no accounting for where Caylee was. Cindy's call is very possibly the only reason that anyone would ever know that Caylee is missing.
Other than her birth certificate, there is no official record of Caylee Marie Anthony. Everything else is anecdotal, even the photos could be claimed as being another child - an elaborate hoax. No agencies follow up on every birth certificate issued, who knows how many children are no longer alive because there wasn't a family member or friend who reported the child missing? Cindy is the only reason that the world knows that Caylee has disappeared off the face of the world. JMO - IMO - MOO
Unless they file bankruptcy or unless a judge rules that all profits be paid to another fund like Missing Children.
Once this is all over, the A's are going to be ostracized and lucky to live anywhere. This case has had so much media attention, they will never live in peace anywhere ever again. JMHO
I heard one of the protesters on a video that NG showed yelling at the Anthonys to go back to Ohio.
Tonight was the first time I had heard of him. I did not know there were three guys living there.
It's interesting that there is no statement from him in the 400 pages LE released and that the first we've heard of him is through NG. Definitely an "hmm" moment.
Jute I think they know it's only a matter of time before Casey is charged...
I realize that, Pauli, but it just shocks me that this is turning into the sensational media event that it is. I'm very alarmed by the fact that there are PR people involved in trying to sell Casey as something that the public could possibly benefit from seeing. JMO
I wonder IF Casey actually filled out any paperwork at admissions?
Casey didn't graduate from HS and hasn't completed her GED. I would be surprised if a state university wouldn't require one or the other. Of course, that doesn't mean she couldn't fill out an application.

NG said that Baez's phone couldn't be tapped because of his need for atty./client privilege. Is it possible that he could claim that Casey has files related to her case, and therefore protected by privilege, on her laptop - thereby making it impossible for LE to search the hard drive?

you make an excellent point Jute.....
The companies offering are just wanting ratings and $$$$$$$. Unfortunately, our society has sunk to a real low and people will buy the trash. JMHO
The following are my own thoughts only.
Of all the behaviors and events in this case that have shocked and alarmed me - hearing that the mother of a missing young child had laughed during her arraignment for child abuse was what caught my attention in the first place - the announcement by Baez and the PR firm he has hired to "handle" Casey's case is by far the most frightening to me.
If Baez's claims of offers are true, which they may not be - he has been untruthful before, for example when he claimed that LE had not contacted him to discuss the case, despite LE's statements to the contrary - the possibility of a new source for media to mine for ratings reflects an alarming trend in societal mores.
What would Casey possibly say? Baez has done an excellent job of ensuring that she will not talk, other than to continue the web of lies she has spun all along. Anyone who pays to listen to or read her lies, IMO, needs to take a hard look at why they would do this. The very idea of a campaign to raise funds for the defense of a mother who refuses to tell where her young daughter is so abhorrent that it defies reason.
I can recall watching Mark Lundsford, a man who I hold in high regard, and feeling so terribly helpless because there was nothing I could do to help him with his grief. The only thing I had to offer Mark was financial support that might make his life just a tiny bit easier, but it was small comfort. There are countless parents of missing children who would love to have help in finding their lost children, but many are ignored by society because their situation doesn't have the media's attention.
My only hope would be that Casey would trip herself up as Scott Peterson did during an interview; but I don't see that happening. From what I've seen of Baez, he is using the disappearance of a little girl, Caylee Anthony, as nothing but a stepping stone to what he hopes is a more significant career.
Also, in my opinion, the fact that NeJame will be interviewed, supposedly to ask for more national attention on Caylee, falls into the same area of sensationalist media coverage. Cindy and George Anthony are doing nothing to find their granddaughter - alive or dead. Why should an attorney hired by them, with the help on an organization that is intended to find missing children, be given an audience on national tv? I'm interested to hear what he says, but only because I am so desperate to understand why no one in this family is actually doing anything to find Caylee. Beyond that, I sincerely hope that media will step up and stand behind Caylee herself - protecting the mother and grandparents is unimportant. Casey has the answers, if her parents choose to believe her, that is their right - but they have no right to bury the truth about what has happened to 3 year old Caylee Marie Anthony.
These are my thoughts and opinions only.

I agree with you Jute, this case gets more puzzling and sickening as it goes. I truly think no one except the A's inner circle (which seems quite small) believes Caylee is alive. Has John Walsh stepped forward to do a segment? no. Was an amber alert ever put out? No. NO ONE believes this child is alive, and I cant understand G&C - regardless of their behavior NOW, prior to this they seemed like normal, functioning members of society. They seemed sane, intelligent people (until the denial set in).
As for Baez, you're right about the stepping stones and he makes my stomach turn... him and his little smirk.
Lastly, Im not condoning G&Cs bizaare behavior - they did THAT to themselves. If they didnt give media and protesters anything to look at they would get bored and go home (ie, USE YOUR GARAGE PEOPLE!) but, I am the family member of a murder victim and I would NOT want to be judged based on my actions in those dark days... it was NOT pretty, I assure you. Its been 9 months and im still not completely back to my old self.
Anyhoo - if you're still reading this, thanks for lending an ear! :tender:

I'm so sorry to hear that you have been affected by the murder of a family member, Stacey - I can't imagine your pain. And you're right about not judging the family - no one can foresee what they would do under those circumstances. I do hope that as more time passes, your pain will diminish - although I suspect it will never be completely gone.
Years ago, the sister of a friend was murdered. I spent many hours with her, just listening to her. In a relatively short period of time, her sister's children came to live with her and she raised them into adulthood. This was her salvation, having the kids with her kept a part of her sister alive.
I agree that the Anthonys should just step back into the shadows completely. As I've said before, I struggle more and more to separate the grieving grandparents from the people I see putting themselves into the spotlight, always in attack mode. Along with their fear and grief, it's natural to feel tremendous anger - but theirs is misdirected, IMO, and it is harming them. MOO

you're very eloquent in your words - you make your points perfectly. I agree, i think someday VERY far off in the future, Cindy may look back or see herself on tv and think "Dear God, is that ME? Did I say/do those things?" Shes definately not my favorite person right now because of the way shes handling everything.... some serious damage control needs to be done there, IMO. But regardless shes a human mourning and missing her grandchild. I know G has taken alot of crap too, for the way he lashes out, but my father would be the same way. My dad was never a violent man. He is a 24 year marine corp veteran, 3x viet nam vet and currently a police officer... he is used to being in control of hus surroundings. When backed in a corner he lashes out.... period. So I see a little of that in George. NOT that its ok to push people and scream back. They have made alot of mistakes, but what can they do?? you cant 'un-ring' a bell.
I just hope one of the A's will soon see the 'light' and do right by CAYLEE.

Casey didn't graduate from HS and hasn't completed her GED. I would be surprised if a state university wouldn't require one or the other. Of course, that doesn't mean she couldn't fill out an application.
I thought she was interested in going to beauty college, per the pamphlets found in her car?

How on earth can Casey enjoy that money if she is locked up in prison for the murder of her child? Wonder if all those $$$ offers will change her parents mind about telling WHAT THEY KNOW?
Pathetic.
Blood money. That poor baby.

Good morning all.
They are also in the process of setting up a website for Casey's defense. If she accecpts those proposals it will go to her defense fund. I think her myspace showed "worried" for a good reason. They are now looking in an area near UCF (University of Central Florida). Out of all those pings, this is the one place that was not a place she regularly freqented. It is out of her regular movements.
Taking contributions for her defense instead of to find Caylee is infuriating.

After seeing Nate on NG last night, it was chilling.
I got the Susan Smith sensation.
I feel Casey thought she would have an ideal family with TonyL. Only she didn't count on those guys telling her they didn't think it was a good idea to bring Caylee around. He made it seem like the door was open and people in/out 24/7. Casey would cook, clean and prepare dinner. She even came with groceries at times. They thought she was an event planner and at times worked from her computer.
They knew Casey didn't want Caylee at her mothers house to be subjected to all that was going on, (she didn't specify what trouble)and thought having a nanny was something a single parent does, she makes enough money, so it wasn't questioned.
Casey would spend nights w/o Caylee, so I wonder where this poor baby was sleeping alone. When they asked Casey about Caylee, she was always with Zanie, at a park, a beach, etc. They never knew she was missing. When they found out, it was like, what do you mean Caylee is missing? Isn't she with the nanny?
Had she left the state, no one would have been the wiser. If it wasn't for Cindy, she would have never told anyone about Caylee, like she just vanished!

Good morning everyone. I must have missed this. When and to who did Nate say this?
Anything else new today?
NATE, FORMER ROOMMATE OF CASEY ANTHONY: Yes, Miss Nancy, I was staying with Tony. I was in between leases, and we were going to get a new place as soon as his lease ended. So I was staying with him until his lease ended and we moved out. So I was there for the entire time that Casey was staying there full-time.
GRACE: Now, I`m talking about the time after Father`s Day weekend, around June 16 -- that`s a Monday -- and on.
NATE: Yes, ma`am, I was there.
GRACE: OK. What was Casey`s -- mom, Casey Anthony`s, demeanor?
NATE: I mean, she seemed like everything was normal. There was nothing that drew any red flags, certainly not on our end. I mean, no reason for us to be suspicious of anything. I mean, she went about her business every day. Some days -- you know, we`re in class 40 hours a week, Tony and I. We both go to a school that demands that we`re in class 40 hours a week, so we`re constantly in and out of the apartment.
But you know, when she was there, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. She always seemed like she had a smile on her face. You know, if there was laundry to be done, she would take care of that. You know, she would cook dinner sometimes in the evenings and...
(CROSSTALK)
GRACE: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. So while her daughter was missing, she was cooking up dinners for her new boyfriend?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: Like what?
NATE: I mean, just normal dinners, you know? She would make, you know -- for instance, I think one night she made pasta for everyone. Just you know...
GRACE: Did she ever mention over the pasta dinner that her 2-year-old girl was gone?
NATE: No, ma`am. She did not mention to us that Caylee was missing. We were under the impression that -- that Caylee was -- that she was with the nanny. When she would ask us certain questions, you know -- or we would ask her about it, then we would just move on because it seemed normal to us, she was with the nanny, she wasn`t at our place, so...
(COMMERCIAL BREAK)
GRACE: Angry protesters nearly around the clock outside the Anthony home. That was a shot of one of them.
Everybody, with us tonight, a very special guest, Tony Lazarro`s roommate. He lived there with mom, Casey, after the time little Caylee went missing. Nate, thank you for being with us. You stated that she never once mentioned little Caylee was missing?
NATE: No, ma`am. She didn`t. There was a point where -- you know, we had asked her a couple of times, Hey, you know, how come we haven`t seen Caylee in a while, because when Tony and her first started dating, Caylee would come over to the house a few times, they would go down to the pool, or you know, whatever, Tony`s taking them out to dinner and stuff.
And so after a point, we -- she just hadn`t been coming around, and we even asked her, Hey, you know, how come you haven`t brought Caylee by lately? And it was always, Oh, she`s with the nanny, they`re at either the beach or they`re over at Disney World or they`re at Universal. And you know, to us, it is summertime. We were under the impression that Casey was working. So I mean, during the summer, children are, you know, off doing things, so (INAUDIBLE)
GRACE: How often -- how often was Casey Anthony there at the apartment, every day?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: Every night?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: She spent the night there?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: With Tony Lazarro?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: And during that time period, little Caylee was not spending the night with her?
NATE: No, ma`am.
GRACE: Where would she say Caylee was?
NATE: She said that Caylee was at the nanny`s. But when she started staying with us full-time, she had said that, you know, there were some problems at home, she didn`t want Caylee being subjected to it.
GRACE: What problems?
NATE: I`m not exactly sure on the specifics. I`m not sure if it was problems between her parents or if she was having problems with her parents. I`m not exactly sure as to the nature of the problems -- but that she did not want Caylee to be subjected to the environment. So she brought Caylee -- she told us that she brought Caylee to the nanny`s and that she was going to stay with us in the evenings, which -- I mean, we`re an apartment that`s on a 24-hour schedule. There`s constantly people in and out.
So to us, it did not seem like a good idea to have Caylee at our apartment full-time, so we thought she was doing the good motherly thing. You know, she didn`t want to impose herself on the nanny also, so Caylee would stay there in the evenings, and she would stay with us in the evenings.
GRACE: And nobody thought it was weird that the little baby would stay, would spend the night at the nanny`s instead of with her mother?
NATE: Not really. I mean, a 22-year-old single mother -- I`m not sure as to the habits of what a 22-year-old...
GRACE: OK.
NATE: ... single mother does every day. So we weren`t, you know, thinking along those lines as, Well, why isn`t she with her child every evening?
GRACE: Did she seem to have a job?
NATE: She did. Like, you know, we`re gone in class quite often...
GRACE: Yes.
NATE: ... so we don`t know if she was going actually to work. But she would, you know, bring home groceries from time to time. She didn`t seem like she was ever in need of money or anything like that. So it seemed to us like she had had a job.
When we would ask her about it, you know, if she was sitting home in the afternoon or something, she would, you know, say, Well, I`m working from my laptop today here at the house. And you know, she -- she told us she was an event coordinator. So those type of things -- it`s one of those things that you would think that someone could do with a laptop and a cell phone. They wouldn`t necessarily have to be in an office every time.
GRACE: Did she tell you guys that she was considering going back to college?
NATE: Yes, she had told us that.
GRACE: Where?
NATE: She had said that she had already attended Valencia for some time and that she was thinking about continuing her education at UCF.
GRACE: So she did say she planned to go to UCF.
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: Are you aware that police are now searching heavily wooded areas there at University of Central Florida for little Caylee?
NATE: No, ma`am, I was not until just a few moments ago.
GRACE: You know, Nate, were you there the evening or the day -- I`m not sure of the timeline -- when grandmother, Cindy Anthony, shows up at Tony Lazarro`s apartment to find her daughter, Casey Anthony?
NATE: Yes, ma`am, I was there.
GRACE: What happened?
NATE: It was approximately late, late afternoon, early evening. Tony and I and Casey were all sitting on the couch. Tony and I were playing video games, waiting for the all-star game to come on for the evening. And there was a knock at the door.
GRACE: Well, hold on. Wait. Casey Anthony was sitting on the sofa, watching video games and waiting for the all-star game to come on?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: While her daughter is missing. OK. I was just getting the mental image. Go ahead.
NATE: And there was a knock at the door. Casey got up to answer the door. It was Amy (ph). I had never met Amy. I don`t...
GRACE: Amy Huizinga (ph)?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: Now, Amy Huizinga is allegedly the woman who loaned Casey Anthony her car and Casey Anthony allegedly took all her checks and wrote them to Target, to all over the place?
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: OK. Go ahead.
NATE: So...
GRACE: So Cindy Anthony, Amy Huizinga show up at the door. What happens?
NATE: Well, just Amy showed up at first. All we saw was Amy.
GRACE: OK.
NATE: Amy told Casey that she needed to speak with her, so Casey and Amy stepped outside...
GRACE: Did Casey Anthony look like she was upset?
NATE: Not right at that moment. But they walked outside to discuss something. I do not -- I cannot attest to what was actually discussed outside. They came back in the house, Amy and Casey, followed by -- who we did not know at the time, that that was Casey`s mother, but now we know. They were followed by Cindy Anthony back in. Cindy asked Casey...
GRACE: OK, let me get something straight. When Huizinga shows up at the door, she asked Anthony to come outside?
NATE: Yes, and talk to her.
GRACE: OK. Could you hear them or their raised voices?
NATE: No, ma`am. I -- we could not hear anything from that conversation.
GRACE: OK. So then they come back in, and with them is grandmother, Cindy Anthony.
NATE: Yes, ma`am.
GRACE: OK, then what happened?
NATE: Cindy asked Casey to get her stuff and to leave with her. And Casey, you know, said that she did not want to leave but she would go outside and talk to her. The three of them then exited the apartment, and that was the last time that we, either me or Tony, have seen Casey.
GRACE: Did you hear Cindy Anthony ask, Where`s Caylee?
NATE: No, she did not ask that question while she was at our apartment, no, ma`am.
GRACE: Did she seem upset?
NATE: She did seem a little upset.
GRACE: Cindy Anthony or Casey Anthony?
NATE: Cindy seemed a little upset.
GRACE: So did Casey Anthony say why she didn`t want to leave?
NATE: No, she just said -- her mother said, Get your things and let`s go, and Casey replied, I`m not leaving. If you want to talk, let`s go outside and talk.
GRACE: So during this time, did she ever ask you or her boyfriend, Tony Lazarro, to help find little Caylee?
NATE: No, ma`am.
GRACE: We are taking your calls. Out to Suzie in Arizona. Hi, Suzie.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hi, Nancy. I want to thank you for everything that you do for victims.
GRACE: Thank you.

NeJame Defends Casey's Parents On TV
Attorney Compares Case To JonBenet Ramsey
Orlando attorney Mark NeJame will turn to national television on Wednesday to discuss the search for Caylee Anthony.
NeJame will appear on NBC's "Today" show at 10 a.m., but he spoke with WESH 2 News first.
NeJame said George and Cindy Anthony aren't persons of interest, they're victims. He compared the Anthony case to that of JonBenet Ramsey.
"Everybody had vilified her mother, accused her, law enforcement and the media and the public, and then many years later, the poor lady dies of cancer, and a month after her passing, she's exonerated that she had nothing to do with the death of her daughter," NeJame said.
NeJame said his role is to solely represent George and Cindy Anthony and put the sanity back in what has become an insane situation.
He added that there are only a few things he can comment on.
"We spoke with law enforcement, and law enforcement has specifically asked us not to comment about any communications or anything else, but clearly, law enforcement has answered that. Cindy and George are not suspects, they're not people of interest, they are victims," NeJame said.
As far as George Anthony facing battery charges for shoving two protesters, NeJame said he doesn't believe charges will be filed.
"He thought they were on his property. They may have been, and if they weren't, it was a confusing line. There is clearly no intent," NeJame said.
The high-profile case is attracting big bucks from companies hoping to crack Casey Anthony's silence and buy her story.
Todd Black, a representative for Casey Anthony's attorney Jose Baez, said they've received offers of more than $1 million for interviews, book deals, TV movies and motion pictures, including pay-per-view.
Black said they're only listening to the options, but money for the potentially expensive defense has to come from somewhere.
"$50,000 to $350,000, we've even had an offer come from an overseas company that specializes in pay-per-view, and those offers can exceed $1 million," Black said. "We've made it clear to everyone that their inquiry will be put into a file, and we don't know whether that file will ever have to be opened."
Black also said they're developing a Web site for Casey Anthony's defense fund.

TY, MH...
From the link:
What is your purpose in this case?
We believe and so many people believe that [George and Cindy Anthony] have been mischaracterized and misrepresented. They have been vilified in the media. It's important to get the attention off of them so we can refocus on finding Caylee.
Why does it seem the public has turned on the Anthonys?
I think a lot of it is the way it plays out in America's media. I think [George and Cindy Anthony] are very ill-equipped to handle the onslaught of attacks and the pressure. . . . These are people whose world 90 days or so ago imploded on them. Their daughter is looking at the possibility of tremendous prison time, and more importantly their beloved granddaughter is just gone. So one day the reality hits you and you are not equipped to deal with that under the best of circumstances, and but then to be under the media glare. . . . Every move you make is watched. Who knows how to handle that?
Why haven't they accepted that Caylee might be dead?
We don't criticize families of POWs or MIAs who 40 years after Vietnam are still holding on to hope and searching for their loved ones in the jungles of Vietnam despite overwhelming evidence that would suggest they are no longer with us. What do we do? We love these people. We sympathize with them.
Don't forget George and Cindy Anthony are also victims. They have lost their granddaughter. . . . Why are they not allowed to hold on to hope that their beloved granddaughter Caylee still might be with us? And other people say they are in denial. So what? Whose business is it? . . . They are going through what they need to go through. And if Caylee is still with us, then they are the ones who kept hope alive. . . . I think we have gotten consumed with making them media personalities rather than understanding that these are just grandparents.
Can you address rumors of any book or TV/movie deal with George and Cindy Anthony?
I have never had one conversation with Cindy or George about that. They have not received one penny from one person.
What do George and Cindy talk about with Casey?
I won't get into that. That is not my role. I do know they have spoken to investigators. And the investigators have strongly recommended that they not get into that.
I think they need to stop acting like accomplices and act like victims. STOP making excuses for the one person who put them in that position. People will then have more sympathy for them.

"Talk to the law enforcement," Nejame said. "(Cindy Anthony) is not a suspect and not a person of interest. They've made that clear. They've obviously done their investigation and she has obviously spoken to them and why is everybody presuming they know more than law enforcement?"
"Does Cindy Anthony still believe that her daughter had nothing to do with her daughter's disappearance?" Rowe said.
"She absolutely believes that she is still with us," Nejame said.
"Despite all of the alleged evidence found in the car that investigators have put out there, she truly believes that all of that does not exist and that there is some other explanation for DNA, for samples in the air and that there was a decomposing body in the car?"
"First of all, I'm not going to get into the case because that is not my role and that is not my goal," Nejame said. "The fact of the matter is that she believes for whatever reasons that Caylee is still with us. Other people do as well. She is not alone. In fact, when you think about it, there are still leads coming in. We've gotten two in the last several days. So, she is holding on to a grandmother's hope."
Nejame said if it comes to Casey Anthony against her family, he is on the grandparents' side.
"I've never met (Casey's attorney) Jose Baez and never met Casey," Nejame said. "I don't have any desire to meet them concerning this case. I represent George and Cindy Anthony. I have no involvement in their daughter's case and I don't want any involvement in their daughter's case. My sole and exclusive role and goal is to represent George and Cindy Anthony in their quest to find their granddaughter Caylee."
"They've hired you," Rowe said. "To the average person out there, they then start to wonder, is it really denial or is there something that the Anthony family is not sharing with investigators?"
"Absolutely not," Nejame said. "Very simply, they needed assistance and they came to realize that. They are buckling. The fact of the matter is that the stress would destroy anybody. One day their family just imploded on them. Their daughter is accused of some of the most reprehensible acts we can imagine as human beings and who is facing tremendous time in jail as a possibility and most importantly, their beloved granddaughter is just gone. Imagine living with those burdens. And for some reason, we've completely lost sight of that."
"And you truly believe that they've done everything that they can, that George and Cindy, have done everything that they can to get information from their daughter, Casey?"
"I'm not going to get in between any conversations between George, Cindy and Casey," Nejame said. "It would be inappropriate and law enforcement has asked us not to get into that. So, the last thing I would want to do and I think anybody in the media would want to do would be to compromise any investigation."
"I can appreciate that, but you can understand why people are so angry at them?" Rowe said.
"No, I don't," Nejame said.
"You don't understand why mothers and fathers -- especially mothers and fathers of other missing children are out there saying, 'Why can't you get your daughter to tell you what happened?'" Rowe said.
"It is this simple; doesn't anybody know what goes on behind closed doors and the answer is clearly no," Nejame said. "So, the last thing we would want to do, if the public is really concerned about Caylee, is let the system work. Stop judging and stop injecting things that people have no clue about. They have none. If you think about it, all this investigation started because of Cindy making a phone call."
"How is she and how is George?" Rowe asked.
"Some people with not such good motives have sucked the life energy out of them, compounded with the fact that their daughter has been accused of some horrendous things and facing tremendous prison time. Then, most important -- without doubt -- that Caylee is not here. I've yet to see them without them crying."
Nejame said he is already defending George Anthony for allegedly assaulting a protester. He said he does not believe that official charges will be filed.
Also, Nejame said he has talked with the Sheriff's Department about hiring off-duty deputies because of the crowds of protesters.

I don't see how Nejame seperates G&C from Casey and her possible involvement with Caylee missing. The Anthonys won't seperate themselves, so how does Nejame.
Some people have sucked the life energy out of them...HELLO!!! I think that person's name is Casey Anthony. :smack:
I wish these people would place blame where blame is most deserved...with Casey.
I predict Nejame is fighting a losing battle.

NATE: Caylee is a very sweet girl, very smart girl. You know, Dora Explorer is her favorite TV show. So, I mean, she can count to 45 in Spanish, which, you know, Casey told us that she`s learned from watching Dora the Explorer.
She loved to watch "The Pink Panther," I mean we would -- the few times that she was over, we would sit there in the living room from time to time and watch "The Pink Panther" or "Dora the Explorer."
She would sit down -- I`ve sat down with her, you know, at my laptop before and she can -- you know if you asked her to type some letters out she can find those letters from the keyboard and type them out, which to me is -- I mean, a really smart girl for, you know, a 2-and-a-half-year-old, a 3-year-old, and, you know, she was cool.
Her favorite phrase that she would say to everyone walking in, be "What up, dude?" That was the phrase she always uses. It`s "what up, dude?" Anytime anyone would come in the door, "what up, dude?"
And I distinctly remember one time where Cameron and I -- another friend of ours -- we had fallen asleep in the living room for an afternoon nap and she had gotten Tony`s drum pad that he`d given her and a set of drum sticks, and she sat there in the living room, tapping on the drum pad, just kind of chanting, "wake up, Nate, wake up, Cam," I mean just an adorable child.
GRACE: When you learned she was missing, what was your first thought?
NATE: My first thought was, how can she be missing? She is supposed to be with the nanny? I mean, we never -- I mean thought that she was -- when they said, missing, missing as in missing now.

Interesting that Nancy Grace said that bones were found along with some clothing. I don't know if she meant bones and clothing as opposed to bones with clothing.
If it's the latter, it does seem strange. I know I put clothing (sweaters and such) on my puppy, but do animals ususally wear clothing? They didn't say whether it was children's clothing they found either!
So frustrating!

I have to apologize because I asked a question on the other thread, but had computer problems and couldn't read the replies or answer. Seems to be working fine today. My question was about the bond and why it wasn't revoked because of the gun and because of the contact with the 12 year old girl.
Thank you for replies all, I did read back this morning and checked the link that was provided by AmyE. The link seemed to be a standard guideline for such cases. But I remember reading and I did link it here last week were the judge berates Casey for not cooperating and states she is to have no contact with anyone under the age of 17. Thus I feel she has violated this order that was made in a courtroom.
Also, George being a police officer, would be aware of the rules governing bonds and firearms. He should have come forward and said, wait I have a gun in the house, but I will surrender it before Casey is released. To me, it is not a good thing he did not. Not sure if he was protecting himself, or what was going on, but I hope that the gun is being tested by forensics.

Did they release the info on where the pings came from?

Attorney Defends Anthony Family To Nation; Doesn't Understand Why People Angry
'I've Yet To See Them Without Them Crying," Nejame Says
ORLANDO, Fla. -- One of Orlando's most powerful attorneys launched a national push Wednesday hoping to bring the focus of the case of missing Caylee Anthony back to the search for the girl.
Attorney Mark Nejame now represents George and Cindy Anthony, the parents of Casey Anthony.
Before Nejame began a national PR push on many of the national talk shows, he sat down with Local 6's Lauren Rowe for a one-on-one interview.
Nejame was first asked about the 911 call Cindy Anthony initially made to police.
"I don't think anyone questioned Cindy Anthony that day and what she was saying and what she was feeling on that 911 call. But she said it on the call," Local 6's Lauren Rowe said. "She said it smells like there has been a dead body in the car, and she was right."
"And that is up to the investigators to address that," Nejame said. "God forbid, anybody else should walk in these shoes. Where is the training for this? Where is the lesson for this? There are none. There is no playbook of how you act when your daughter is accused of murdering your granddaughter. Let people be people. Don't judge and don't speculate. Just allow people to process and live and work through their own grief as they need to."
Nejame said people need to understand what the family is going through.
"Who is somebody else to tell another person how long they are supposed to grieve and how long they are supposed act? Who? Who are we to do that?" he said.
"I don't think anyone would disagree with that but you are not a therapist, you are a criminal defense attorney and part of your job is now speculate what could possibly come down the pike for George and Cindy Anthony," Rowe said. "After she found the car and thought it smelled like a dead body, she took clothing out of that car and washed that clothing. (There's) a lot of speculation, if something does happen, is it possible that Cindy Anthony could face criminal charges?"
"No," Nejame said.
"You are telling me that you don't think about that at all as now her defense attorney?" Rowe asked.

Yes, your phone stills gets pinged, criminals really do not think nowadays. Why go on a crime spree with your cell phone. Remember Littlejohn and Ivette St Guillen.
How many cases over the years have cell phone towers and pings played an important role?

Not saying that she didn't go to Walmart, just that i don't believe there is a WalMart there by Amscot and Sam's.
It has been said I think the Amscot employee saw the car at 7am, now TonyE picked Casey up between 11am and 1pm, but do we know if this was all the same day?
In my State you have to have a Sam's Club membership card to even get in there, not sure if it is the same everywhere.

question about pings:
if you turn your cellphone OFF, and someone calls you - is there a ping?
Only if your cell phone is digital. There are a very few left that are analog and those will not ping if turned off. I believe at the end of the year, all analog will be turned off and only digital cell phones can be used.
Yes, a few people still have and use their analog cell phones. No joke.

The following is a synopsis of the interview:
Mrs. Sanchez is the branch manager 7051 East Colonial Drive (Amscot Financial). On June 27, 2008, at approximately 0700 hours, Mrs. Sanchez arrived at 7051 East Colonial Drive for her shift. Mrs. Sanchez observed a white Pontiac parked next to the business’ dumpster, but took no action.
On June 28, 2008, at approximately 0700 hours, Mrs. Sanchez arrived at 7051 East Colonial Drive (Amscot Financial) to begin her shift. Mrs. Sanchez observed the white car still parked next to the dumpster. Mrs. Sancez notified the Amscot corporate office of the white car still parked net to the dumpster. Mrs. Sanchez notified the Amscot corporate office of the white pontiac’s presence. The Amscot corporate Office instructed Mrs. Sanchez to call law enforcement to ensure the white Pontiac was not stolen, and if the what Pontiac was not stolen wait one additional day and have the white Pontiac towed away. Mrs. Sancez called the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and gave the white Pontiac’s license plate to the operator. Mrs. Sanchez was advised the white Pontiac was not stolen.
On June 30, 2008, at approximately 0700 hours, Mrs. Sancez arrived at 7051 East Colonial Drive (Amscot Financial). Mrs. Sanchez observed the white Pontiac still parked next to the dumpster. Mrs. Sanchez called Johnson’s Wrecker and requested the white Pontiac be towed away. A short time after Mrs. Sancez’s call, a tow truck driver arrived. Mrs. Sanchez pointed out the white Pontiac to the driver, singed a form, and the driver towed the white Pontiac away. I showed Mrs. Sanchez the Jonson’s Wrecker private property tow form, and she verified the signature on the form belongs to her. Mrs. Sanchez swore the information she provided was true. A copy of the recorded interview was submitted into evidence and a copy was turned over to Corporal Melich.
Mrs. Sanchez pointed out where the white car was parked. The following is a description of the area: 7501 East Colonial Drive is in a small business plaza which sits on the northeast corner of East Colonial Drive and Goldenrod Road. 7501 East Colonial Drive’s lobby faces west towards Golden Road. 7051 East Colonial Drive has entry doors on the west and south sides. 7051 East Colonial Drive’s dumpster is fenced in and on the northwest portion of the western parking lot. There are two white striped parking spaces to the west of the dumpster. Mrs. Sanchez pointed out the parking space closest to the dumpster. This parking space is to immediate western side of the dumpster.

The contact list will stay in tact. It can also be pulled through Central Office records. If she puts the sim card in a phone and changes the number on the cell phone, she can lose all info as its programmed to the original number of the cell phone, as is the voice mail for that particular number the sim is for. If you have ever swapped out your cell phone for another, if you have noticed, all you info still works on the new cell phone. As long as the cell number stays the same.

ARRGH!!! That mini-van parked right in front of the cam shot.
Has Casey left for her 6 hour visit with Baez?

He said do not confuse G/C with Casey. Do Not Judge Them
Yes Faith. It would be easier not to if they didn't change their attitudes. They went from something is wrong, to defending the child that made them think something was wrong.
I know it's their child, I feel they loved Caylee very much but to make excuses even after the evidence points to foul play, is what have people angry with them. Sure, it's their defense mode, holding on to that glimmer of hope but LE told them it points to a dead body.
Cindy herself said in not so many words, that Casey did this to get back at her. Casey knew how much she loved Caylee, Casey knew how much happiness Caylee brought to them. This was a vindictive move on Casey's part. She knows that, trying to igore the inevitable is their way of keeping their sanity. I myself am guilty of it. I go from having sympathy for they too are victims, to being angry because I feel like they are covering up. They too are victims of Casey.
Jose Baez said it best. The Anthony's are a normal family in an insane situation!

Harmony as I said earlier, I believe she left the car there sometime on the 26th, the day before the mgr. noticed it...
You may be correct. I went back and looked. I cannot find a date when Tony picked her up. It is not in the arrest warrant or in my notes from the 400 page doc. I will keep looking.

IMO, Nejame is fighting a losing battle trying to seperate C&G from Casey at this point. They have done nothing but put themselves right in the middle of Casey's lies.
Just my opinion though.
Nejame aparently hasn't heard from them what we have. Why the lies? Why the cover-up for Casey?
I'm not upset with him b/c maybe he isn't aware but it's too late for his speech. Too much water under the bridge now.
G/C put themselves out there with lies, one only has to ask why. JMO

I've seen it in digital mode, roaming, no service and analog. Only once or twice in analog mode. A small "A" shows up. I checked my manual it's called the "Analog Indicator".
Brand - LG
Model - VX4650
Do you have Verizon, Sprint or AT&T? They have their own network. Any other carriers are resellers and don't have their own networks. They work off the major carriers but show that companies name on your cell phone. That could be why you are seeing that on your phone.

You stated it perfectly Faith.
All Nejame has to do is look at all the videos of the Anthonys from the beginning. He'll get a clue.

He will review any info that involve C & G. If he doesn't, he's not doing his job. Like he said, they aren't persons of interest, so he just has to do PR repair on them. Of course, he might have better results pulling a rabbit out of a hat. JMHO

As long as the cell number stays the same.
thanks, Texas :)

I've been assuming that Casey called Tony to come and get her as soon as she parked the car. Maybe she parked the car and then walked away and spent several hours going in and out of stores, buys the bag of groceries, calls Tony and then walks back to the car and pretends to have just parked it.

Right, but there is no Zenaida
right.
and for her to say - oh I lost the phone with her number in it - but then to still have the sim card from the phone ... shows she's full of p**p that she ever had the number to begin with.
I think.
I'm confusing myself.......

Last night Nate did confirm that. When TonyL went to pick her up, he's not sure of the time, between 11am and 1pm, Casey had a bag of groceries with her.
I thought that Sam's Club has no bags.
Boxes, but no bags.

What other 24 hr grocery stores are in that immediate area? Did she have groceries or other items in the bags? Did she possibly purchase the stuff before she abandoned the car? If she had non-perishables that would be easy to do.

but, but, but....
if she switched the blackjack's sim card (the one that was supposed to have ZG's # on it) to another phone, then her contact list would be intact, yes?
That is, her phone contact list stays with the sim card, right?
If you save the contact list to your sim card. My phone defaults to saving to the actual phone and I have to tell it to save on the sim card. I learned this the hard way when my last phone died. I lost my contact list when it happened. Now I save to both items.
BTW - The sim card is located behind your battery in the cell phone.

Didn't she have checks written to a winn-dixie? Maybe we could look on the map to see where the UCF, Winn-Dixie, and Amscot are in relation to each other. We know she'd not have spent much time in the grocery if she only had one bag.
I know its a long shot as we've no idea which days she was at the grocery or UCF.

The above shows all the spots.
I want to know who Caylee was with when Casey spent nights at TL's home? We know now there is no nanny who she was with. Cindy didn't have her in that time frame.
I want to know when Casey researched her chloroform.
I want to know how she obtained this chloroform.
Did she start using it on Caylee and leave her to sleep alone in her car?
Did she possibly give her too much that she never woke?
Too many unanswered questions.

He said the A's are looking for an alive Caylee. I want to know where they are looking. He says denial could be a good thing. Same as in the articles, nothing different.
TY, that show was on a long time ago here, I was asleep.lol
I know C/G are in control, they got Casey out of jail, she in in thier home and they have said numerous times the public and media should find Caylee, now the money they are spending on security cameras at the house, etc...then I know they can get Casey to do a sketch of Z and her sister, it would do it or go back to jail for me but we all know imo they don't because there is no Nanny, never was.

We are on the same page, my friend. I also vacillate between empathy and outrage/anger. As parents we all say we would beat her, shake her, etc. or would have done things differently. We have to remember that probably all of us have normal kids. Casey is extremely cunning, and manipulative IMO. We don't know the results of the psych exam but in my opinion something is very wrong and I doubt any of us would know how to deal with this type person IMO.

She noticed the car on June 27 and June 28th, then on June 30th she called the tow truck company to remove the car.
On the 28th she called LE to see if it was a stolen car. When she noticed the car still there on the 30th she had it towed.
I believe the cell phone pings from the 24th (which was the day she went home, talked to george, borrowed a shovel from the neighbor),
25th and 26th (possible day/night that the car was abandoned) should be the ones that are looked at more closely.
I would love to know the date, time and area of each cell phone ping.
The girl is not very bright and I don't think she is one to go anywhere without her cell phone....Little Caylee is somewhere in those ping areas.
I don't see her slinging a shovel for very long either.....unless, she did a little bit each day for several days.
Here are some of my questions. I'd like to know what you all have to say about them:
Supposively the A's had a concrete patio put down the weekend of July 4th....others say it was brick pavers....Has that been checked/searched?
The soil in the trunk of the car......did any info on that ever come back? The type of soil or anything in particular about the soil that could link it to a specific place.
Do you believe that little Caylee could have possible been buried in the Anthony's back yard and then removed? I think about this alot....why else would there be soil, hair and decomposition in the back of the car? And if this did happen, surely there would be extreme damage to any remains from the shovel....
If she was in that car for a long period of time....Casey would have an awful smell on her also, you would think anyways.
Then again, I also wonder, another scenario, if something had just happened to Caylee around that time period then any fresh blood or body fluids would still make the car smell after being closed up in the car for several days in the sweltering heat.
Ugh, I think I'm talking in circles here.....Thoughts, anyone????
(Let me insert here, just in case: These are only my thoughts, wonders, curiousities, IMO, JMO, MOO and possibly my brain working overtime) ~That should cover my behind~
