Posted by Anne Ruisi -- The Birmingham News (http://blog.al.com/spotnews/about.html) September 21, 2008 9:26 PM
Birmingham police are asking for help in locating a 10-year-old boy missing since Friday morning.
Alex Johnson, of 830 Valley Road, was last seen at about 7:45 a.m. at home, according to a statement issued by the police department.
Alex is black, 4 feet, 6 inches tall, weighs 85 pounds and has black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. He was wearing tan shorts, a white shirt and black and white Jordan tennis shoes when last seen.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the department's South Precinct at 254-2793.

I've looked all over, and this is the only thing the newspapers and TV are saying. This is so sad! And it makes me angry that the state of Alabama doesn't do more for missing persons!

They aren't giving out much information, that's for sure, and I couldn't find a picture of him.

Nicky,
If you are able to save the image then you can go here http://tinypic.com/ and upload them. Once it's uploaded you can copy and paste the image code here. Let me know if that works or if you need more help doing it.

Me too, and no problem. I'm just mad that this state doesn't do more on missing persons. I never realized how little information was out there until Jeffrey Stone went missing. I asked my son everyday when he came home from Sardis if they had heard anything. That's when I found this site and all the great people on here!

Thanks Grande. It's just this work computer, it's been rained on and has a wierd virus protection and other software that won't let me.

You know I feel the same way Nicky.. it's infuriating that it's not broadcast over and over when a neighbor goes missing. They can't give these people a minute of air time?

Update: Alex Johnson has been found - he is now at home and doing well.
This is from the same link and that's all the information they gave.
That is every word they gave, and it was one line at the bottom of the very short article this morning about him being missing since Friday!!!
:madranting94dp:
Nicky and Lilly, it may be time for us to start writing to Troy King, Attorney General, about the way missing persons cases are handled in Alabama.

So glad this 10 year old was found safe but I agree on how AL handles missing children.
Wonder why on earth more information was not provided on where he has been all this time?
