I think because sources say that the chloroform in the trunk of Casey's car was the purest form, I'm guessing she kept her supply in the trunk...somehow is opened up...now could it be possible that something of Caylee's got soaked with it, like clothing or whatever, and when Casey unknown to her, gave it to Caylee and that's when something happened?

I'm still not convinced that Casey harmed Caylee on purpose...

Who was it that saw the Law and Order about the mom that killed her daughter using chloroform? I want to see that episode. Or read the script. Anyone know where i can find it.

I thought about that too. I don't know what to think. At first I didn't think Casey intentionally harmed Caylee but now I'm not sure how I feel.

I'm just curious, but why not?

From all reports I've read of her friends, and even discounting the family...everyone said that Casey was a good mom...Not a single person has said that she was mean or complained that she had to drag Caylee with her...Yeah, she said that it's tough being a single mom with a child, and it kept her from having fun...but both my DIL's complain about their children and how much work it is...

I'm just not ready to say it was intentional..until I get more facts...

I was never convinced that Casey intentionally hurt Caylee; based solely on those flury of phone calls to C & G. But now that we hear she was searching missing children websites; I'm really starting to wonder. Now; I'm wondering if she did harm her intentionally with the chloroform and was going to go with a the scenario of "Caylee stopped breathing"; therefore, the flury of calls; but when no one answered; she got scared and moved her.

What pizzes me off is; that Caylee had to be in that trunk for days and days for it to smell like it did. Accident or not; why wouldn't she have gotten rid of the body immediately? I don't understand that rationale at all.

I think what has really gotten to me from reading what all I have and the interviews I saw of her ex. on Geraldo is she could have had it made. She had at least 2 guys who seemed to care about her (the Jesse and Hawkins) and were more than willing to jump in to be a "good male role model" to Caylee. It seems that all the men she went out with really cared about her and her daughter...

Yes it was. But she has to be pure evil to get rid of her child; just so she can have some freedom and more importantly; that grandma doesn't get her. That's just beyond hateful.

And, adding to support that we have Cindy writing and asking the question, who is taking care of her now. Clearly, Cindy was concerned about the well being of Caylee in the hands of Casey.

Casey's brother Lee told investigators he didn't believe it and Lee said their father, George, was meticulous about keeping their cars clean and he would have noticed it right away. Lee relayed to investigators how Casey started pouring her heart out about the tension between her and their mother over Caylee, starting by quoting Casey as saying "Mom has um, thrown it in my face many times before that I'm an unfit mother and you know, maybe she's right and maybe I am."

I think she felt she had no choice. She would have had to live with Cindy blaming her for that accident for the rest of her life. By concocting the kidnappinig; Cindy couldn't blame her for being irresponsible.

I think I'm understanding how her mind could work, that is if it was an accident. I just can't imagine not having any compassion toward your own child or feeling any guilt or grief especially if your own negligence caused their death.

TB.. just thinking out loud her.. not disagreeing with you because everyone has said exactly that. I think Casey did a lot of things to keep up appearances. I also think she wanted to be a lot of things that she couldn't pull off because she never learned to work at it and make her own way. When it was easy and convenient she was a good Mom. When it wasn't, she handed Caylee off to whoever would watch her. I think Caylee was more of a responsibility and burden than a blessing and joy. She wanted to be the person who had a nanny and could do whatever she wanted without being tied down. I'm sure she loved Caylee in her own way and took care of her from what people could see, but a lot of what people saw was G & C provided. Cindy says she's an unfit mother and Casey even said it too.
In all the texts I've saw, she only mentioned Caylee a couple of times and it was in reference to not doing something she wanted. She may have played with her daughter, kissed her boo boos, smiled and put on a good face, but I think two and half years of responsibility she didn't want made her snap.

Awhile back I thought it was prob an accident, but now I think she either killed Caylee in a fit of rage, or it was a deliberate act. JMO! If it was an accident I think she would've freaked out.. she would be showing remorse and shame maybe. She didn't love Caylee too much or she would've made sure she had her favorite baby doll wherever she is. She's taking it all in stride. Even some of the worst mother's would be full of pain and anguish if harm came to their children. Casey appears to feel nothing :( She's prepared to take down her family and her friends in this ordeal and she isn't giving in.

JMO.. I'd like to believe it was an accident, but hearing what I've heard, I can't get my brain around that. She reminds me more of Susan Smith than a mother who accidently left her child in a car or something of that sort.

Here's another thought that I've had. Clearly Casey changed when she met TonE. Dropped all of her friends and started hanging out with his friends and at the Fusion. What did TonE have to offer her that the other men didn't? All of Casey's sexual exploits were probably initiated by Casey. But TonE was different for some reason. I have to believe it's because for the first time; someone pursued her first. TonE said he reached out to her on Facebook. That had to be a special feeling for her; probably one that she had never experienced before. Maybe she was experiencing love for the very first time with TonE; and to pursue this relationship; Caylee was going to get in the way. With the other men; she didn't care about relationships; it was just sex; and she could walk away without giving it a thought.

TonE brought her an exciting life at the Fusion Club; and she supposedly cried when TonE joked about getting a job in NY. I think she was actually falling in love for the first time with him. Wanted to keep him; and needed to clean up her life; which meant getting rid of Caylee. Casey wanted what TonE had to offer, IMO. And she wanted it badly.

Just thinking outloud here.

I understand; but I still think there was something special to Casey about TonE. Enough of something for her to do something to her child. While she may have been searching the internet for months prior to TonE and planning something; TonE put her over the edge (not intentionally) to implement that plan in her sick and dimented mind.

You may well be right. TonE could have been a challenge for her. I mean when girls like Casey are just giving their bodies away; it means nothing to them at all. I guess what I'm saying is that TonE triggered something in Casey that was not the norm for her.

Guess you all saw the OCSO COMPUTER FORENSICS REPORT.

I found this part interesting where it was documented that
Computer Forensic Examiner noted below-

start quote from link
A keyword search for "Zenaida" revealed Web pages indicating that a user
searched the Internet for that name on July 16, 2008. Those entries were
bookmarked under the "Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez" section of this report. end quote from link

Sorry if this has been discussed. Wonder if C, G or L could have searched for Zenaida after Casey told her story about the nanny kidnapping. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

Well; I just finished listening to TonE's interview and followed the dates on my windows calendar (you can really follow much better with them when you're looking at a calenard). Anywho; there is no doubt in my mind that something happened to Caylee the week of the 15th. TonE says that Casey couldn't spend the night at all that week; as her mother keeps telling her she has to be at home for Caylee and to come home. Musta been embarrassing for her with her new boytoy!!! Then the very following week; the week of the 22-28; all of a sudden Casey is spending every night at TonE's place. I wonder why he didn't think it odd and question Casey; why all of a sudden; she didn't have to be home at night with Caylee; and was free to spend every night with him for a week.

I found TonE quite credible, IMO.

So I wonder where she really was during the night that week? I do believe Caylee's been gone since the 16th, but where was her body, and where was Casey staying at night? If she was back at her parents' house, wouldn't that contradict what George said?

Guess you all saw the OCSO COMPUTER FORENSICS REPORT.

I found this part interesting where it was documented that
Computer Forensic Examiner noted below-

start quote from link
A keyword search for "Zenaida" revealed Web pages indicating that a user
searched the Internet for that name on July 16, 2008. Those entries were
bookmarked under the "Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez" section of this report. end quote from link

http://www.wftv.com/download/2008/0926/17564976.pdf

Sorry if this has been discussed. Wonder if C, G or L could have searched for Zenaida after Casey told her story about the nanny kidnapping. Sorry if this has already been discussed.

I was a little confused with those dates on the computer forensics report.

I wondered because I found what Mr. Grund had to say very interesting:

GRUND: I never saw her or spoke to her, but I did hear of her. I heard of her in April of `06, when Casey lost her regular baby-sitter. As I said, Jesse would watch her. I would watch her. She tried to get my high-school-age son to watch her, which meant I watched her because I have an office in my home.

Finally, one day when Casey came home from work to wait for Jesse and hang out with us, I kind of greeted her at the door with, What are we going to do about this baby-sitter thing? And she says, I found one. I have a nanny. Her name is Zanny, and I got her from Jeffrey Hopkins, who has a son named...

So since April 2006, Mr. Grund heard the name Zanny, but not Zenaida. Because if that's the case when she fell over Zenaida, that gave her another way to spin her web of lies about the nanny's name. JMHO

If I'm not mistaken, the only name anyone ever heard Casey call the babysitter was Zanny. She never came out with Zaneida until this June or July, near the time it was discovered by her parents the child had been missing for 31 days. There is a book that she got the name Zanny from. She didn't know a Zenaida at all.

Wasn't it confirmed that Jeff didn't have any kids?

The episode is called "911," it was on last night. Can't find a full video, but this clip shows the detectives digging the little girl out of the ground - she had been buried by the child pornographer who had her. No speaking - music sound track. The dig her out right near the end, about 5 min.

This absolutely makes sense.

I was feeling that Caylee's death was an accidental death (If she's dead). But with all of this info coming out this week, I feel like it was intentional. :(

CSI episode on Spike right now - woman faked a kidnapping, got in trunk, took Benzodiazepines and wrapped scarf around her mouth. Choked and died.

Benzodiazepines with a longer duration of action are utilized to treat insomnia in patients with daytime anxiety. These benzodiazepines include alprazolam (Xanax®), chlordiazepoxide (librium®), clorazepate (Tranxene®), diazepam (Valium®, halazepam (Paxipam®), lorzepam (Ativan®), oxazepam (Serax®), prazepam (Centrax®), and quazepam (Doral®). Clonazepam (Klonopin®), diazepam, and clorazepate are also used as anticonvulsants.

I was just watching that. I just can not imagine how not a single person could know who really kept that baby. I am a teacher, a job that pretty much has set hours, but have still had things come up where I had to have my mom or dad or even in-laws pick up my kid(s) when they were in daycare. Heck, once I even had to have my neighbor pick my son up. So did this "Nanny" not have set hours, could Casey just pick her up whenever? I have never know of a sitter like that. It sounds like she was more of a home daycare than a nanny b/c Casey said something about her (ZannY) not having her boyfriend around Caylee or "any of the other kids". Did she watch more than just Caylee at once? If so then she had to register/be lic. with the state.

I think I'm understanding how her mind could work, that is if it was an accident. I just can't imagine not having any compassion toward your own child or feeling any guilt or grief especially if your own negligence caused their death.

If it was an accident, how could a mother dispose of her child's body in what had to have been a horrible manner?

I'm sure you meant Caylee, and I agree ~ and that's exactly why I can't see an accidental death. If a person is cold hearted enough not to want to bury their child even after the child died accidentally but disposes of them like trash, or whatnot, and lies to cover it up, they're cold enough to kill them intentionally, imo.

TB.. just thinking out loud her.. not disagreeing with you because everyone has said exactly that.

Good post, Lilly. The baby doll is one of the biggest red flags for me, too. :1187603408.CR.Mothe

I do not know if all states require you to be lic. for daycare, but with FL. you go through DCF and must renew yearly. I would think she was talking about drivers lic. But I would like to know if she was watching other peoples kids (pretending she is real) and if so was she registered with DCF. The law is that if you watch more than 1 child from different famalies that you must be reg/lic with DCF.

I doubt a lix. ia required when your only the figment of someone's (Casey) imagination. I noticed she throws out the *nanny* to impress her friends. C & G never heard a word about this Zanny, nor Lee, till after Caylee disappeared.

And back to your other post along these lines, what daycare provider/babysitter takes the children out of town to the beach or wherever for days on end? What mother leaves her child with this 'nanny' without leaving the child's favorite toy (doll) with them ~ a toy the child can't be without? :lex_10:

TBH sunstar, I don't think that anything that the anthonys do is any where with in the spectrum of NORMAL. These people are so far off the scale they can't see the scale. As much as I have to have CAYLEE brought home to rest in peace. I really want this family to just get arrested and go AWAY. What with another grandchild coming into the picture, I'm assuming that cindy already HAS A PLAN for this new child. :000a1:

I'm thinking he was a "new life" for her, new friends, hanging out at Fusion, everything she wanted to do ~ without Caylee. MOO

That's right.....Per TonE's LE interview, Casey had to
cancel on some parties b/c mom Cindy told her she
had to get her butt home and care for Caylee.

Cindy also had told Casey, on more than one occasion,
she couldn't have a sleepover at TL's b/c Caylee
needed Casey home.

Well, I'd say Cindy was right in those respects, she had
a job and had to go to work....Early to bed and early to
rise....unlike Casey w/out a job, wanted to stay up all
hours of the night and sleep until noon.

So since April 2006, Mr. Grund heard the name Zanny, but not Zenaida. Because if that's the case when she fell over Zenaida, that gave her another way to spin her web of lies about the nanny's name. JMHO

If Zanny came before Zenaida, that would explain why the nickname is spelled with an A rather than an E - maybe there wasn't a reasonable possibility that started with ZA_____?

If I'm not mistaken, the only name anyone ever heard Casey call the babysitter was Zanny. She never came out with Zaneida until this June or July, near the time it was discovered by her parents the child had been missing for 31 days. There is a book that she got the name Zanny from. She didn't know a Zenaida at all.

Wasn't it confirmed that Jeff didn't have any kids?

Jeff doesn't have a son, nor had he ever heard of Zenaida/Zanny. But, IIRC, Cindy confirmed Casey's story that Casey had known Z for 4 years and she babysat Caylee for the past year and a half. JMO

OK, is this the one where they girl called 911 and spoke to Olivia for most of the show... I am trying to think of the use of chloroform in it.

Yes. Olivia was dressed up, she was going out for the evening, and a call came in on 911 - it was a little girl who asked for help. Olivia spent nearly the entire show talking with her as the rest tried to figure out if the girl was telling the truth and where she was. Turned out that a notorious child pornographer had her; he walked in as she was talking to Olivia. When LE got to where the girl had been kept, she was gone - the guy had chloroformed her, put her in a bag, and buried her alive in a vacant lot. Olivia and Fin were able to dig her out and save her before she died.

sunstar

Oh now I remember seeing this episode! Yes!

I like to watch CSI and L&O, too - not to learn how to successfully harm someone, but it's interesting to hear about things like the forensics behind the scene. I know that CSI is largely fake (wouldn't it be wonderful if all the technology they use actually existed?) but I love Grissom's bug fascination, for example. I just learned that it's a myth that hair continues to grow after death - it actually has to do with the skin shrinking around the hair follicle, it then may appear the hair grew. A beard was the example. (How'd I do, Stacey? :girl_haha: )

I always watch original L&O and CSI: Miami. SVU is too sad especially when small children are the 'victims'.

I agree that when SVU deals with children, it is tough to watch - but they do address some real issues out there, just in a fiction setting. One of the things I like is seeing how they portray how these cases impact the detectives; Eliot takes the cases home and it affects his interaction with his kids, Olivia was desperate because she couldn't find the truth about the little girl. It made me think about the detectives working on Caylee's case - it has to be terribly hard on them. :1187603408.CR.Mothe JMO

Cindy said that it was her routine to call Casey as she was leaving work, Casey would fill her in on what Caylee had done during the day. WHY would a woman who calls her daughter every day to check on her granddaughter's activity not know the babysitter this child has gone to for a year and a half? She and Casey gave Caylee a bath together every night, Cindy rocked Caylee every night. It goes on and on, yet she claims not to know anything about this babysitter other than details Casey shared.

I don't know what is going on, but I am flabbergasted after listening to Cindy's interview. The intricate, detailed, inter-connected description of Casey's world are mind-boggling. If you took each little detail that Cindy talked about and made them into little puzzle pieces, they would all fit together perfectly - a clear, concise picture of Casey's life. And it is all lies.

Cindy recites these details as if she truly believes them - but admits that she only has Casey's word to go on, nothing about Casey's life outside of that home is a known entity to Cindy.

Det. Melich did a fantastic job, IMO. He was very compassionate, but just as firm about the truth - and Cindy did not want to hear what he had to say. She would not listen to what he said, even after he told her that her behavior is impeding their investigation into where Caylee is. She continued the same type of behavior that he specifically said was harmful to the investigation - repeating allegations and making statements that have no basis in truth. Why?

Cindy's determined effort to place the blame for Caylee's disappearance was absolutely unbelievable.

JMO - IMO - MOO

Detachment <---> Lies. Wonder which came first? Does this family lie because they have to, because they are so detached from each other that lies are the only way they can make each other care? Or are they detached from each other because their entire life has become a lie?
