Just to tell a little story, I went to as many as three-four Brewers games a week back in 1982. (Free tickets and 5 bucks bought 4 beers, hee hee) Went to all the post season home games up and thru the world series. :frown: My heart was broken to say the least.

In April of 1983 I moved to Colorado.

Fast forward to 2007, I am also a Colorado Rockies fan. I suffered through many a season of ups and downs. I also suffered through last years playoffs :zm10: and world series :1187603408.CR.Mothe

In Nov 2007 I moved back to WI (to plan in aiding an ageing parent) and what happens?

Another MOVE and another TEAM heading to the playoff's. I'm telling you I'm a JINX a JINX I tell you. :frustratedf: Let's hope the third times the charm.

:happy0158:

Congrats to all the teams and most important the FANS who make this sport what it is. :hifive:

Hello Molly,

I'm a Southern California woman that lives in Colorado now...Last year Rockies were awesome....talk about nail biting, holding on to the edge of my seat with the nails :francis: They had nothing to be ashamed of in my opinion.

Now on to 2008 with BOTH Angels & Dodgers...Am I excited......You betcha...I Love everything about the Playoffs & World Series...except (Joe Buck)...can't stand his voice.

Here's to all of us that enjoy the fun which is post season.

They'd better be, they could be eliminated tonight. Those games come on so late for me here even in Mountain time that I haven't been able to watch one all the way through...No work tomorrow, so I'm definatly watching.

Oh heck yes...he gets the KUDOS for turning that team around...They were saying last night that they was a lot of in-fighting amoungst the young players & the veterens last year & when Torre got there he DEMANDED that they respect each other & bring what each one had TO the team not AGAINST it.

I actually made it to the Grand Ending of the game.....That was the 1st time I've seen the K-Rod pitch......He had the look of "What the Hell am I doing?" on his face....If he would've pitched a second inning..I would've of turned it off.....My nerves wouldn't have been able to handle it.

5hrs 9 minutes.....It was the longest game in ALDS history. Let's hope they can do it again tonight & take this baby back to Cali.

WAY TO GO PHILLIES!!!

ROLLINS, HAMELS LEAD PHILLIES INTO WORLD SERIES (http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/gameTrax?gameId=281015119)

Jimmy Rollins got the Phillies rollin' with a leadoff homer and they kept right on going. Next stop, the World Series. Rollins homered in the first inning, Cole Hamels pitched his third gem of the playoffs and Philadelphia beat the bumbling Los Angeles Dodgers 5-1 Wednesday night to win the NL championship series 4-1 for its first pennant since 1993. "This is for the city for Philadelphia," manager Charlie Manuel said. "We have one more step, one big step - then we're going to make a grand parade.

PHILLIES FINALLY FINISH OFF RAYS, WIN WORLD SERIES (http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/27444988/)

updated 10 minutes ago
PHILADELPHIA - After waiting two days for a shot to finish off the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 of the World Series, the Philadelphia Phillies were ready to roll, taking the title with a 4-3 victory.

It was the Phillies' second championship in their 126 seasons, the only other title coming in 1980.

When the game resumed in the bottom of the sixth inning, Geoff Jenkins led off with a double and scored on a bloop hit by Jayson Werth, giving the Phillies a 3-2 lead.

http://nbcsportsmedia4.msnbc.com/j/apmegasports/200810292003721856572-pf.h2.jpg

Rocco Baldelli’s solo homer in the top of the seventh tied it at 3-3, but the Phillies retook the lead in the bottom of the inning when Eric Bruntlett scored on a single up the middle by Pedro Feliz.
