Starting Tuesday the 26th of December I'm moving LONDON INK from CTV over to this board. The show has already started with the 4th show showing a competition between LA INK and MIAMI INK and LA INK won. LONDON INK is totally different than our American way of tattooing. In our shops music plays and the artist talks to their clients and they do really rad tattoo's. There's joking around and pranks played on each other to make it fun to watch. You get to see some really good tatoos being made up close. And after they are done, you get to see the whole design top to bottom. and there is always a story to go with a tattoo. In LONDON INK, no music, and louis the mananger is a megalamaniac that thinks his kids floating in the city pool don't stink. He thinks he's better than everyone else in the shop. there's Phil, who is american. and Nikole who does asian art. And then there is Dan, The youngest and the one that Louis picks on the most. What am I saying? He is the only one Louis picks on. He talks down to him in front of clients. He doesn't like it when Dan talks and jokes with his clients. Louis says if your friendly with your clients, they won't respect you. HOGWASH! Louis is just after Dan as his scapegoat. he puts down all his tattoos. The others in the shop are starting to see how unfair louis is to dan. He treats him with no respect. Covering this Tattoo shop is like writing about a soap opera. The camera work is terrible. your lucky if you get to see the tattoo unless it's louis'. Bickering and ego's are the subject matter in this shop. I find myself amused by it. And I get a kick out of the Brits that get tattoo's. they can't take pain at all. they cry, freak out, move a lot, ask a million times when it's going to be done. In our shops, people sit still and talk and you'd never know they were getting work done. That's how I am. I sit still and don't move and talk with Brad and space out and really don't feel anything. I just got a new tattoo 2 days ago. It's beautiful. I wanted a piece of jewelry around my wrist tattooed on. Brad drew it up. And I loved it. and now I have a permanent bracelet on my left wrist with a beautiful ruby in the middle of it. IT ROCKS!
And I got that idea from Dan. He did a wrist tattoo that I admired that had Koi in it. But I wanted jewelery. Dan is the youngest and a guru grafiti artist. I find him to be the most fun. does the most different tattoos. Has loyal clients. And it eats louis up. He'd fit right in here in America. But not in London. If you want good gossip and someone to hate as the bad guy, watch LONDON INK on TLC on tuesdays nights at 8:00 pm central time. and if you miss it. I write the whole show out, with my views, and thoughts. and if you don't agree or have a different opinion, please write and lay it down. this will be the 5th show to air. I hope you all like it!

On this weeks show, Louis and Dan do a portrait off. who can finish the portrait first. well, we all know louis will. Polo mint John comes in to have louis work on him and his sleave. and dan picks julian. Dan picks a portrait of Gene Simmons in full make up to put on julian's calve. It has a red hue to it so it doesn't raise a freak flag. He did a good job. Louis did an elderly woman looking out of a frame. with decorations on the corners of the frame. It was very detailed. It was good also. but as soon as louis was done he went over to dan's station and took over. He didn't think dan had his tattoo machine turned up enough for shading. Dan took the "louis interuption" quite well. while they were tattooing dan had his friend come in and sit with julian and him and they talked and joked and laughed out loud and it just got on louis' last nerve. he yelled at dan in front of everyone to cool it. that he was distracting everyone. even louis. So dan shut up. Nikole is out of the shop this week. so the boys have it all to them selves.
Louis, Dan and Phil go to the Greyhound races after work. Phil has never been. they all bet on the first go around and dan wins. louis goes, not this next time. they place a second bet and dan wins again and louis can't help but make a snide remark to him. sore loser. While Nikole is gone , mostly women come to the shop to get tattooed. Louis get's 2 women that want the same tattoo on them. 2 mermaids. the lady that went first had hers colorful and bright. on her lower leg. the second lady went with more of a black and brown mermaid. and she couldn't hold her pain. so louis hurried as fast as he could to finish it. saying it would have turned out better if she had sat still for a few more. but they were good and he is fast.
Phil does a lower back piece with floral around the name "nan" for the clients grandmother. it turned out having green trim with a pink middle and dark purple for the name. It was real pretty for a first tattoo.
Phil gets another virgin, monique, who wants angel wings with "mommy" on her lower back. the wings turned out beautiful, the whole tattoo did except the script. It looked like a 5 yr old wrote out "mommy" which ruined the whole tattoo for me. He had "mommy" up above the wings, large. it just didn't go.
Dan gets a hottie in his chair named Jai. she want's a small tattoo cover up on her shoulder. Dan draws her out a monarch butterfly. she likes it. He takes his sweet time with her as he flirts with her and handles her gently. He does like the ladies! the butterfly turned out beautiful. looks like it could fly right off her shoulder.
Nikole is back and the boys have to settle back down. when nikole hears the boys went to the track without her she calls them all names for not waiting for her. she missed out on all the fun! But, Darren Thompson, the athelete comes in and wants nikole to put wings on his arm. they kinda wrap around his bicep then go down in a twisty way to his elbow. It looked really cool. I don't know how she did that cause the UK cameras don't show shiz. it was done in black and grey. a really good job done.
andrew wants dan to take him away from reality. this 8/5 business man is going nuts in his everyday job in the city. doing the same thing every day. He wants a tattoo. and a different one at that. Dan draws up a rugged cowboy with a poncho around his shoulders, sitting against a rock with a cowboy hat on. and smoking or playing a flute. it was done in black and gray except the strip that went around the poncho, it was red. the detail was amazing. It looked liked something out of the old west. I've never seen a tattoo like that before. It was on his shoulder area. I heard someone in the shop tell dan 'GOOD JOB." I don't know who's voice it was. It was probably Phils. Louis would rather die then give dan a compliment. but louis will soon eat his words.................ADIOS FOR NOW
