(STNG) Two people were found murdered inside a South Side home Friday, including a man and woman believed to be related to Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, authorities said.

Police are also searching for a 7-year-old boy who may have been abducted from the home by a suspect in the murders.

The victims, reportedly a woman in her 50s and a man in his 20s, have not been identified, but their bodies were found shot at about 3 p.m. in the 7000 block of South Yale, police said.

The missing boy, identified as Julian King, 7, may have been abducted by William Balfour, a suspect in the murder who is considered armed and dangerous, according to police.

Balfour may be driving a white Chevy Suburban SUV with Illinois license plate X584859 or a teal/green Chrysler Concord four-door sedan with a left front headlight hanging off and scratches on all along the left side with temporary tags 332K823.

Julian is described as a black male with a medium complexion and brown eyes and black hair. He is 5 feet tall and 135 pounds.

The home where the shooting occurred is listed under the name of "Darnell Donnerson" or "Darnell Donerson," according to Cook County records.

The Cook County Medical Examiner’s office has been notified of the deaths of two people at that address, but additional information was not available, a spokesman said.

Hudson became famous after appearing on “American Idol” in 2004. She went on to win an Oscar for her performance in the film “Dreamgirls.”

Court records show Balfour (left) pleaded guilty in 1999 to attempted murder and vehicular hijacking. He also was convicted in a 1998 case of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, the records show.
The missing boy may be in the vehicle. According to a source, the actress' sister reported the boy missing from the home.
Public records indicate the Suburban is registered to Jason Hudson, who neighbors said is Jennifer Hudson's brother. Authorites would not say whether he was one of the two victims.
Jennifer Hudson is not injured, her bodyguard told the Tribune before referring all questions to a publicist.
One of the victims was a woman in her 50s who was shot in the head and the other was a 29-year-old man who was shot in the chest, according to a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office. The spokesman did not have the victims' identities.
At least one of the victims had defensive wounds, according to police.
Area 1 Deputy Chief of Patrol Joseph Patterson held a brief news conference near the scene this evening.
The 7-year-old who is missing is believed to be the dead woman's grandson, Patterson said.
Neighbors reported hearing gunshots earlier this morning, around 9 a.m. There were no signs of forced entry to the home.
He said at about 3 p.m. a family member found another family member fatally shot in the home in the 7000 block of South Yale Avenue (map (http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-hudsonmap-gfx,0,6455814.graphic)).
The family member notified police, and when police arrived, they found a second victim. The first victim was a woman found on the living-room floor with a fatal gunshot wound. The second victim was a man found in a bedroom, also with a fatal gunshot wound.
Chicago Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said at least one victim is "believed to be" a relative of Jennifer Hudson.
The shooting was believed to be related to a domestic disturbance, Bond said, stressing that this was preliminary information.
Police tape blocks access to the large, white house, where a crowd has gathered outside.
In 2007, Hudson won an Academy Award for best supporting actress in her role as Effie White in the film "Dreamgirls."

The Associated Press reports authorities are searching for the seven-year-old grandson of the deceased, Darnell Hudson Donerson. Chicago's WBBM says the boy is also Jennifer Hudson's nephew.

The amber alert says the child might have been abducted by a man who is a suspect in the police's double homicide investigation, according to the AP.

Police are now searching Chicago's North Side for the man and boy, whom are thought to be traveling by car.

I work as a Child Advocate and today was a trying day for me, to say the least.

When I got home and turned NG on, the first thing I heard was about the murder. Then I heard that there was an Alert out for this little boy.

According to published reports, William Balfour has been taken into custody, but he has not been charged.

Police spokeswoman Monique Bond told AP that investigators were talking to "a number of people in custody" but she declined to elaborate.

I agree Faith. The articles are confusing in a way because everyone is called by Hudson's relative instead of their names. My prayers go out for Julian and his mother. God Bless her, Julia's mom and mother are dead and her son is missing. Maybe they are writing it that way in hopes it'll draw more interested viewers and readers. But still, Julia is grieving just like Jennifer is.

Jennifer Hudson's Nephew Still Missing

What police do know is that William Balfour is a suspect. Balfour is Hudson's brother-in-law. He was reportedly arrested by police last night, but there was no sign of the Academy Award winning actress's nephew, 7-year-old Julian King. The five-foot tall, 135-pound child is the subject of an Amber alert.

Police said the boy might have been in the company of Balfour who was believed to have fled in either a Chevy Suburban or a Chrysler Concord. The four-door teal green Chrysler was found overnight, but there was no sign of young Julian. In 1998, Balfour was sentenced to seven years in prison for attempted murder.

Paul Ciliano, a former Chicago police officer and CBS News consultant, said the Englewood neighborhood where the crimes were committed is "probably the toughest neighborhood in the city of Chicago.

"This is notoriously violent area, the most shootings and car hijackings and tough-and-rumble place on the South Side of Chicago," he told Early Show anchor Priya David.

Ciliano said the first priority of the police right now is locating the missing boy. "That's their focus. They have the suspect, the number one suspect (and only suspect as far as I know) in custody, so right now all their efforts are going towards finding and locating this child and getting him home safely."

Heck why can't they give them truth serum? Chicago PD Pursuing Car Dispute Theory

Law enforcement sources now tell TMZ they are indeed looking into what appears to be a dispute over a car in the investigation of the murders of Jennifer Hudson's mother and brother.

As we reported below, Julia, the estranged wife of suspect William Balfour, complained that Balfour wrongfully sold a car, causing her to hitch a ride with brother Jason, one of the victims.

Several neighbors last night talked about a recent dispute over stealing a car, in which an unnamed family member promised "revenge."

TMZ has spoken with several other neighbors this morning who say Julia complained to them that William Balfour sold one of their cars without permission. One neighbor told TMZ the dispute got so heated William threatened to "kill Julia's family" but she didn't report it because she didn't take it seriously.

As for the dispute over the car being the trigger, our sources say cops are pursuing the lead but are looking at everything.

And our law enforcement sources say people other than Balfour have been interviewed as well.

Here's the most interesting thing -- neighbors in the area who know the family well say a few weeks ago a family member tried stealing a car, which triggered a heated argument in which the would-be thief promised revenge. Chicago police spokesman Daniel O'Brien would not comment on whether a William Balfour was in custody or whether police had questioned a man by that name.


Quoting law enforcement sources, however, the Chicago Sun-Times reports that William Balfour was in police custody Friday night.

Deputy Police Chief Joseph Patterson told reporters the bodies were found about 3 p.m. Friday (4 p.m. ET), when a relative arrived home and found the body of a woman shot to death on the living room floor. The relative backed out of the house and called police, Patterson said. Authorities found a man shot to death in a bedroom.

Authorities did not identify the bodies, but Hudson's publicist, Lisa Kasteler, said the actress' mother and brother were found slain on Friday.


Police issued an Amber Alert for Julian King, who is missing from the home, and asked citizens to look out for a 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban with Illinois license plate X584859.


Julian is described as being 4 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 130 pounds. He was wearing a striped brown polo shirt and khaki pants when last seen, authorities said in the Amber Alert.


WLS reported late Friday that a suspect -- whom it now identifies as William Balfour -- was in custody, but that the boy -- identified as Balfour's stepson by the station -- was not with him when he was detained.
Davis-Balfour said her son had nothing to do with the killings. "Out of no means did my son do this. This heinous crime to this family is unbelievable. It's unbearable," she said.


Neighbors reported hearing gunshots earlier Friday, Patterson said. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections, Balfour, 27, is on parole. He spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.





His MySpace page also says he lives on Chicago's South Side. "I might as well let you all know that Jennifer Hudson is my wife's sister I'm proud of her and wish her nothing but the best in what she do," he wrote.

The Hollywood star's older sister, Julia Hudson, discovered the victims after returning home from her day shift at a bus company.

Police Ask FBI To Help Find Jennifer Hudson Nephew

Chicago police on Saturday asked the FBI to help find the missing seven-year-old nephew of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson whose mother and brother were found shot to death a day earlier.

Julian King has been missing since Friday when Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29, were found dead in Donerson's south side Chicago home.

Chicago police spokesman Daniel O'Brien said the FBI had been asked to assist in the search, which could cross state lines. He said, however, that there was no evidence that King had been taken out of Illinois.

O'Brien declined to confirm various media reports that police had taken William Balfour into custody as a suspect in the double homicide investigation. Balfour, 27, reportedly had a relationship with Hudson's sister and is the father of King.

The Illinois Department of Corrections Web site lists Balfour as having been convicted of attempted murder, car theft and vehicular hijacking. He was released from prison in 2006.

O'Brien said more than one person had been questioned but that no one had been charged with a crime. He did not release any names. On Friday, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said of the murders: "It appears to be domestic related."

Balfour, said to be the estranged husband of Jennifer’s sister, Julia, reportedly remains in custody today. Missing child Julian King, his step-son and Jennifer’s nephew, was not found with the suspect.

“The 7-year-old is still the subject of an active Amber alert,” a spokesman for the Chicago police department told Access Hollywood on Saturday.

According to the Sun-Times, Police Supt. Jody Weis said the FBI has been called in to help search for the boy.

“When a certain amount of time passes, that’s why we would reach out to the FBI,” Weis was quoted as saying in the Sun-Times, noting that enough time has passed for Julian to have potentially been taken across state lines. “We’re going to use any resource we can to solve it.”

Police issued an alert on Friday looking for a 1994 white Suburban, which they believed may have contained Balfour and the boy. According to the Chicago Tribune, the vehicle is registered to Jason Hudson, Jennifer’s brother.

Balfour has reportedly been married to Julia for two years, living at the family home on Yale Avenue. Access confirmed on Friday that Balfour resided at Darnell Donerson’s home in 2007. But the couple reportedly separated recently and were planning on divorce.

According to CNN, Balfour has been on parole since 2006, following close to seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.

Balfour’s mother, Michele Davis Balfour, denied his involvement in the double homicide.

“I’m not going to let them put my son down,” she told reporters at the police station on Friday, according to the Sun-Times. “My son had nothing to do with this… and I’m very upset with the police because they are refusing to let me see my son.”

A spokesman for the Chicago police department told Access Hollywood that suspects were being questioned, but could not confirm their identities.

“Detectives have and continue to speak with several individuals,” he said.

I know there was a dispute between William B and Jason H over William taking/selling hrs car. That's about all I know and I'm not certain of the date that happened, I would have to go back and read his myspace again.

The Cook County Medical Examiner just told us both Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, and brother, Jason Hudson, each suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Police said there appeared to be defensive wounds on one of the victims, suggesting at least one of the shootings involved domestic violence.

Family members said they would hold a private gathering at the Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church. It is where they reportedly went to church while growing up on Chicago's South Side.

The man labeled a suspect by police in the slayings — the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson’s sister — was in custody Saturday. No charges had been filed against William Balfour. His mother, Michele Davis Balfour, said he had nothing to do with the double homicide.


William Balfour’s stepson, Julian King, 7, has not been seen since the slayings. Chicago Police called in the help of the FBI in the search for the boy, Police Supt. Jody Weis said Saturday.

“Our prayers go out to her,” Mayor Daley said at a Northwest Side anti-violence march Saturday morning. “Jody Weis and the police department [are] working to make sure they get the offender.”
Buckner, a civilian employee with the Chicago Police Department, said his first cousin, Darnell, was a joy.


“She was a wonderful person,” he said. “A very sweet person. She’d open up her door to anyone, just about. That could have been a problem.”
Balfour has been married to another Donerson daughter, Julia Hudson, for about two years. They had lived together in the Yale Avenue home. But the couple has been having problems, were separated and were planning to divorce, family members said.


Julian is Julia Hudson’s son. Balfour is his step-father. The boy was not with Balfour when police arrested him Friday night, leading to the continued search.


“He’s a happy-go-lucky kid, a spoiled little kid,” Buckner said with a laugh about Julian, explaining that because he’s Donerson’s only grandson, the entire family doted on him. “That’s why I’m so worried about him. He’s a little hard-headed in a way.”


Weis said police collected a large amount of forensic evidence from the Yale Avenue crime scene, and the evidence was being processed.

Still missing is a white SUV that police believe Balfour could have driven from the Hudson family home, several sources told the Chicago Sun-Times.

Chicago Police issued an alert identifying Balfour as a suspect hours after the slayings.


The alert said Balfour might be driving a white 1994 Chevrolet Suburban SUV with Illinois license plate X584859. The alert had said Julian could be with Balfour — but the boy remained missing after Balfour’s arrest.

The news of the double slaying shocked the close-knit family, said their pastor.

Cook County property records show the home where they were found is owned by Donerson.


Friends and neighbors said Jason Hudson was a fun-loving person who liked to barbecue, play dominoes and always had the latest video games.
Donerson was more soft-spoken. But she “always made you feel like family,” said Joseph Sardin, a childhood friend of Jason Hudson.

The Chicago Tribune and The Chicago Sun-Times reported that William Balfour, a suspect in the deaths, was arrested Friday but has not been charged as yet.

Balfour remained in custody, but the nephew, Julian King, has not been seen since the bodies of the mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and the brother, Jason Hudson, 29, were allegedly discovered by Balfour's wife Julia on Friday.

Julian is described as 4-foot-11 and weighing 130 pounds. He has brown eyes and black hair and was last seen wearing a striped polo shirt and khaki pants.



"I don't care who you are, just let my baby go," she said. "I just want my son back. He doesn't deserve this."


Jennifer Hudson, who won a 2007 Academy Award for her role in "Dreamgirls," was in Florida Friday promoting a new movie when her sister phoned to inform her of the slayings.


She returned to Chicago and had to positively identify the bodies of her mother and brother at the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Police narrow search for Hudson's nephew near home

Chicago authorities are focusing search efforts for the nephew of Oscar-winner Jennifer Hudson near the home where police found the bodies of the entertainer's mother and brother, officials said Sunday.



An Amber Alert for seven-year-old Julian King is still in effect.
The boy went missing from his home on the South Side of Chicago Friday, the same day that his grandmother and uncle were found shot to death.
Local volunteers are fanning out across the neighbourhood on foot and handing out fliers with information of the little boy.



While the search is city-wide, police will focus their efforts "in the immediate vicinity" of the home, said Chicago police spokesperson Dan O'Brien.



Jennifer Hudson's publicist said the family is asking for privacy, although Julia Hudson made an appearance at a community meeting Saturday and pleaded for information about her son.



On Friday, 57-year-old Darnell Donerson was found dead on her living room floor, while 29-year-old Jason Hudson was found in a bedroom. Chicago authorities have ruled the deaths homicides.



Jennifer Hudson grew up in the impoverished neighborhood on Chicago's South Side. It was her mother who encouraged her to try out for "American Idol," and cheered her on when the rising star won an Academy Award in 2007 for her role in "Dreamgirls."



The Associated Press learned Saturday that police have a former partner of Julia Hudson, 27-year-old William Balfour, in custody in connection with the slayings, but have not charged him with any crime.



Michelle Balfour, the man's mother, said he had been married for several years to Hudson's sister Julia, but they had separated. She also said Donerson had ordered him to move out of the family's home last winter.
Illinois Department of Corrections documents, obtained by The Associated Press, show that Balfour spent about seven years in jail for attempted murder and other charges.

As the search continues for missing 7-year-old Julian King, his family has taken to the media to plea for his safe return. Police to move 'person of interest' in Hudson case

CHICAGO — Police intensified their search efforts Sunday for Oscar-winning actress Jennifer Hudson's 7-year-old nephew, missing since the shooting deaths of the boy's grandmother and uncle.

City police also made plans to transfer custody of a "person of interest" in the shooting deaths to state authorities.


An Amber Alert remained in effect Sunday for young Julian King, who disappeared from his South Side neighborhood on Friday, the day the bodies of his grandmother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and 29-year-old uncle Jason Hudson were found in the home they shared. Their deaths were ruled homicides.

The Amber Alert listed William Balfour, the estranged husband of Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia Hudson, as a suspect in a "double homicide investigation." Julia Hudson is the missing boy's mother

Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond said authorities considered Balfour a "person of interest" in the case but he had not been charged.

Authorities said the search for Julian would be citywide, but on Sunday residents and officers focused their efforts "in the immediate vicinity" of the family's home in the Englewood section, said police spokesman Dan O'Brien.

Police said they did not have a motive for the killings but called the case "domestic related."

"There's a lot of forensic evidence. We have to work the evidence and try and solve this case," Bond said Sunday. "Most importantly, we want to find the child."

Balfour remained in custody Sunday, but Bond said he would be transferred to the Illinois Department of Corrections "based on his active parole violation unrelated to this investigation."

Records from the Illinois Department of Corrections show Balfour, 27, is on parole and spent nearly seven years in prison for attempted murder, vehicular hijacking and possessing a stolen vehicle.

It was unclear if Balfour had an attorney to speak for him Sunday, but his mother, Michele Balfour, has denied that he was involved the killings or in Julian's disappearance.

A representative of the Illinois Department of Correction did not immediately respond to a request for comment Sunday.

During a public plea Saturday for the boy's return, Julia Hudson described her son as a smart, sensitive and easygoing child.

"He's not your typical 7-year-old," she told a crowd at the family's Pleasant Gift Missionary Baptist Church on Chicago's South Side. She was joined by the boy's father, Greg King.

"He doesn't want to go outside. He doesn't want to play. He'd rather stay at home and read a book or do some school work."

Hudson said she last saw her son Thursday night when they went out to dinner to celebrate her 31st birthday.

Afterward, she said, she took Julian to the home she shared with her mother and brother, handed him to his grandmother and everyone went to sleep.

Julian adored his grandmother, Hudson said. "She did everything for him, got him ready for school, got him ready for bed," Hudson said.

Julia Hudson said Saturday that she was confident her son was still alive and that she was praying for his return.

"Momma's looking for you. I'm not going to stop until you come home," she said.

It was a guy from the street behind us shooting into the air. I didn't call the police although I wish I had. It was 3:30 am and I was on my way to work. I don't know if anyone did. But I totally agree that this case might not have gotten as much air if not for Jennifer. But...there was little Cole a few weeks ago and he got plenty of air time.

I just hope that since they did not kill him outright they will let him go...

What bothers me when people mention neighborhoods is I have always believed that they are what YOU make of them. If you ask most people, they will tell you that they won't get involved in fear of retaliation. We, (hubby and I) have had some problems in our area, and hubby always wants to turn his back on the problems. I won't! It's much more difficult when you have children though.

Chicago police spokesman Dan O'Brien says the search for King is citywide. But on Sunday residents and officers will focus their search efforts "in the immediate vicinity" of the Hudson's Englewood home where King lived.

Missing Child May Answer To "Juicebox" or "Dr. King"

In a flier distributed by the Chicago Police Department's Area 1 Detective Division, Julian is considered a "High Risk Missing Child". Julian was last known to be wearing a chocolate brown polo shirt with stripes and khaki pants.

He's described as a black male, 7-years-old, between 4'11" and 5'0", 135 lbs. with a medium complexion.

In a press conference, Julian's mother, Julia Hudson, said that he answers to "Dr. King" and "Juicebox."

Julian may be with a white 1994 Chevrolet Suburban with license plate X584859.

"We can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation concerning the deaths of Jennifer Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, and her brother Jason Hudson," Hudson's personal publicist, Lisa Kasteler, said in a statement. "No further comment will be made and the family has asked that their privacy be respected at this difficult time."

Police spokeswoman Monique Bond said the deaths appeared to be the result of domestic abuse. The Cook County medical examiner's office said autopsies for Donerson, 57, and Jason Hudson, 29, were pending.
Police were talking to "a number of people in custody" on Friday night, said Bond, who declined to elaborate.

Deputy Chief Joseph Patterson said a family member entered the home around 3 p.m. Friday, found a woman shot on the living room floor and left to notify authorities. Responding officers found a man shot in the bedroom, Patterson said. There was no sign of forced entry.

Police tape blocked access to the large, white house, where a crowd gathered outside. Investigators searched with dogs and flashlights in foliage surrounding a church that faces the home.

Authorities issued an Amber Alert for 7-year-old Julian King and were seeking a 1994 white Chevrolet Suburban. The child was the grandson of the female victim, Patterson said.

Investigation Proceeds, Still No Sign Of Boy

The alert initially said the child was possibly abducted and could be accompanied by a man named William Balfour, who was a suspect in the double homicide investigation.

Cops had Balfour in custody mere hours after the victims' bodies were identified, but Julian King had yet to be located.
Cops tell us Julian may be with a white 1994 Chevrolet Suburban with license plate X584859.

CHICAGO — Jennifer Hudson and her family offered a $100,000 reward Sunday for the safe return of her missing nephew, as investigators looked for forensic evidence near the home where her mother and brother were found shot to death.

Mourners dressed in their Sunday best milled outside the childhood home of the singer and Oscar-winning actress, along with investigators seeking clues to the whereabouts of 7-year-old Julian King, the son of Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia.

In a statement Sunday evening from publicist Lisa Kasteler, Jennifer Hudson appealed to the public for its help, offering the reward and asking that any information be given to Chicago police.

CHICAGO — Jennifer Hudson and her family offered a $100,000 reward Sunday for the safe return of her missing nephew, as investigators looked for forensic evidence near the home where her mother and brother were found shot to death.

Mourners dressed in their Sunday best milled outside the childhood home of the singer and Oscar-winning actress, along with investigators seeking clues to the whereabouts of 7-year-old Julian King, the son of Jennifer Hudson's sister, Julia.

In a statement Sunday evening from publicist Lisa Kasteler, Jennifer Hudson appealed to the public for its help, offering the reward and asking that any information be given to Chicago police.

"Jennifer and her family appreciate the enormous amount of love, support and prayers they have received while she and her family try to cope with this tragedy and continue the search for Julian," the statement said.

Chicago, October 27: : Chicago police asked the FBI on Saturday to help find the missing 7-year-old nephew of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson after her mother and brother were found shot to death a day earlier.

Julian King has been missing since Friday when Hudson's mother, Darnell Donerson, 57, and brother Jason Hudson, 29, were found dead in Donerson's south side Chicago home.

"Let my baby go," Hudson's sister Julia told reporters. She appeared at a news conference along with the boy's father, Greg King.

Chicago police spokesman Daniel O'Brien said the FBI had been asked to help in the search in case the boy had been taken across state lines, in violation of federal kidnap laws.

O'Brien declined to confirm various media reports that police had taken William Balfour into custody as a suspect in the double homicide investigation. Balfour, 27, had a relationship with Hudson's sister Julia but is not the father of the missing boy. Balfour's mother said earlier her son and Julia were estranged and that he had nothing to do with the slayings.

The Illinois Department of Corrections website lists Balfour as having been convicted of attempted murder, car theft and vehicular hijacking. He was released from prison in 2006.

O'Brien said more than one person had been questioned but that no one had been charged with a crime. He did not release any names. On Friday, police spokeswoman Monique Bond said of the murders, "It appears to be domestic related."

He also was convicted in a 1998 case of possession of a stolen motor vehicle, records show. A search for 7-year-old Julian King was unsuccessful at a Lawndale residence where a suspect was arrested in connection with the double murders of the mother and brother of Academy Award-winning actress Jennifer Hudson, a police source said early Monday.

Police acting on a tip began searching for the boy in and around a residence in the 1900 block of South Spaulding Avenue late Sunday but the search concluded about 2 a.m. Monday without finding him, according to a police source early Monday.

The residence on Spaulding is where William Balfour was arrested about five hours after the murders.

About 3 p.m. Friday, the bodies of 57-year-old Darnell Donerson, Jennifer Hudson’s mother and 29-year-old Jason Hudson, her brother, were found at the 7000 block of South Yale, inside their home, police said. The shooting is believed to be domestic-related. Neighbors said they heard gunshots between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. Friday morning, authorities said.

A family member found the bodies. The mother was found on the living room floor; the brother was found in a bedroom. The crime didn’t appear to be a robbery, police said, and the door to the home was not locked when the family member arrived.

Missing from the crime scene was Donerson’s grandson, 7-year-old Julian, who was possibly taken from the house in the Englewood neighborhood, Chicago police said. He was in a white 1994 Chevrolet Suburban SUV with Illinois license plate X584859, police said.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.

Yes, he is in State Custody as of yesterday. They said it's because a violation of his probation.
