On November 7-9, I took a trip to Oklahoma with a group of people from WS. We visited Weleetka and walked the road where Taylor and Skyla took their last walk. We stood and cried together at their memorial.

We were on the news in Tulsa on Saturday night. You can find the video at this link.

I will be sharing my experiences with you on this thread!

I'm looking forward to hearing all about it, Clay.

I watched the video, but the sound kept going in and out, so I missed most of what everyone said. Did it play well for you? Maybe it's something on my end.

Which one are you????? (If you don't mind telling us).

Clay, what a beautiful way of showing your love and support for these two girls. :cray:

That touched my heart.

It's five months and still no suspect. How do people live with themselves knowing they took two young children away way before their time.

God Bless you all..

It will be interesting to know what all you felt and saw, Clay. Makes a bigger impact when you're actually at the scene doesn't it?

It sure does, Packy!

LOL! I'm Mary from Texas. I'm the crybaby!

Actually, everyone was crying. I was sobbing...

I had some trouble getting the video to play yesterday, but when I finally did, the sound was okay.

My sound is messed up on my puter. So I didn't hear it, what were you wearing? More than one was crying.

Did you go to the bridge or the place where they said people hung out? How far was that?

Packy, I was wearing a beige t-shirt with horses and black pants. I was the one kneeling in front of the memorial. We walked from the bridge to the memorial.

CC, I am looking forward to hearing what you experienced in OK.

I was praying this case would have been solved long ago.

I hope we can bring enough attention to it to get them really cracking on it, Faith. I have a new project up my sleeve to bring more attention.

Claycat...what an admirable thing you guys did.....As the family member of a missing person....I cannot thank you all enough....for caring enough...to take personal time and funds to make the journey to Oklahoma, to show the world that these two precious children have not been forgotten. The world is a blessed place to have such thoughtful and caring people such as yourselves, and everyone here at HFTM. For families like ours, you all make the unfortunate journey, a little easier.....Thank you!

Nice to see you, Clay. Hope this case doesn't grow cold like so many do it seems.

Thanks, Nice People!

Evidently some of the other stations are picking up a renewed interest in the case now. Taylor and Skyla were Nancy Grace's cold case feature today on CNN's website. I understand that channel 5 in OKC is reporting about it again! We were hoping for this!

Today is the 6th anniversary of Taylor and Skyla's deaths. I shed new tears today thinking about how their families will be facing Christmas without them for the first time.

I never really told you about my feelings at the memorial. When we were first at the memorial, I felt grief for the loss of the girls. However, most of the time I felt an overwhelming sense of peace at a place where such violence took place. As we walked from the memorial to the Placker House, I felt an opening up, a deep listening, as if all of Heaven were listening. I knew then that the girls were right there with us. When we were at Taylor's house, I got an image, in my mind's eye, as if I were Taylor. I could see Skyla to my left. We were both wearing swimsuits. We were standing on the shore of a huge sea of endless golden light. I remember thinking that all that's left is the love...

One day, weeks later, I took out the police tape that one of the locals had given me. I held it and meditated on it. Then I went to walk my dog. As I was walking, I could suddenly smell the ocean, and I knew the girls were once again with me. A few blocks more and I experienced the most overwhelming sense of hopelessness. I knew my life was over, and I had no future. When I got home, I began to cry. Just then, the friend from OK, who had given me the tape, called. She said she had been putting clothes in the washer and suddenly knew she had to call me. She told me that the feelings I was experiencing were not coming from me, that I must have picked up on one of the killers. She told me to not touch the crime scene tape again. I had to back off for awhile.

Sadly, since our trip, part of the town of Weleetka burned. The Roundup, where we had the biggest chicken fried steak I've ever seen, burned.

I feel a huge connection to that area. The experiences I had were some that I will never forget.
