CTV boards closing....

I found this in the feedback forum, it has been removed now. It was posted by a person from CrimeLibrary

This board will continue until12/31/07 as will Crime library. Then CTVnewsonline will be pulled, CrimeLibrary articles etc... are being archived at CNN. This message board may stay open but it will be unsupported (free hits for Turner!!).

CW's boss was let go as were 15 others on the CTV web side. The remaining will be assigned to run TruTV on line. All of CrimeLibrary Staffers have been let go. Notices were given just before thanksgiving.

Admins hands are tied in what they are allowed to say on the public boards. Turner isn't interested in this community. They know the numbers. CTVnewsonline and Crime Library were bringing over 50 million monthly hits but these properties don't conform to nor support the TruTV vision.



Please pass the word to posters at CTV that there is a place for them to go and continue on posting with familiar faces. Coldwater has asked for us to not post the link to here on CTV boards yet, it has to be done via PMs and email for now.

I heard it through the Grapevine. Court TV message board members are searching for a new home. Sometimes change is good, and home is where the heart is. Gonna be a lot of transplants this month. Still praying and lighting candles for stepf48 from court TV.

We have been working hard to get this board set up and trying to keep it a lot like CTV boards. Hopefully for the ones that come her it will be like home has been redecorated.

I check in on the Step thread for updates on how she is doing. I hope she recovers quickly.

According to the Admin at CrimeLibrary they are closing... but you never know for sure what is gonna happen until it does.. I would think if they were gonna remain they would be reassuring posters of it and not let them wonder and speculate about it.

I made it. Here I am, everybody. To answer your question, I am. Periodically I copy the threads into a PDF format so, when she gets home I can send them to her.

I remember several years ago, when Freshwater was still moderating with Coldwater, somebody made a thread that was literally disgusting. CW never answered her PM, so I PM'd Freshwater. This person told me it wasn't their forum so there was nothing he/she could do about it. ????

I was in OC when it happened, my first thought was CW must be getting really frustrated. Hopefully they will tell her something soon so she can relate the news to us.

The closing of CTV is so strange - I've been avoiding the whole issue.

I've only been there for 2 1/2 years, but in that time it's become part of my life.

Luckily, I have great relationships with some really fantastic people that I have met there - one of those is KittyMom, who invited me here. Hope it's ok.

To add an avatar go to your UserCp, look down the left column and click edit avatar.

To use a custom avatar if you have it stored in photobucket or some other storage place like that, put in the url to the photo. If you use a custom avatar, Please do not use one that would be offensive to other posters.

To load one that is stored on your computer click on browse and go to the file where you have them stored.
