There has been a lot of progress made for mothers in domestic violence situations to be heard, to be offered resources and shelter, and to remove their children from the violent parent. Fathers need those rights also.

I have a friend who lost her grandson due to domestic violence. In her grandson, Sean's memory she spreads awareness about domestic violence and is working toward more rights and resources to be offered to dads who need to get help to get their children out of violent homes.

Good idea, IMO. Often, courts and social services side with the mother, and in many cases, she's the abuser.

Even with moms there needs to be more unified guidelines and enforcement. IMO

However, for dads they even have a difficult time getting custody and in some cases, visitation. JMO

Every time I see Sean's face I feel a loss. Who knows what this little boy would have grown up to be. He never got the chance to show us. And he's not the only one of course, there are thousands that suffer the fate he did regardless of which parent (or parent's partner) was the one to end a life. IMO

I'd really like this bill or law passed. It could be the beginning of something wonderful for other children.

Thanks for saying I could post it here. I think if we get enough signatures it would help his grandma who is missing him a lot.

Here's a picture of Sean.
