Police ask for help locating missing person

The Tucson Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating 81-year-old Louis Green who went missing from his home in Sierra Vista on Sunday. Mr. Green was last seen at 11:00 p.m. on November 30, 2008. Detectives have determined through credit card and cell phone records that Mr. Green was in Tucson Monday, December 2 and was near the intersection of Grant and Silverbell. He is diabetic, has heart and lung problems, is oxygen dependant and suffers from dementia.

Mr. Green was last seen wearing a blue and white shirt with a golf emblem on it, khaki pants and black and white golf shoes. He is driving a silver 2007 Mercedes 4-door-sedan with Arizona veteran’s plate # 9C6R0.

Anyone who has seen Mr. Green or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.

A Sierra Vista man is missing.

Police say 81-year-old Louis Green was last seen in Tucson Sunday night, driving a silver 2007 Mercedes.

Green is a diabetic, with heart and lung problems and relies on an oxygen tank.

Police say he was on the phone with his wife, but his cell phone battery died, and he has not been heard from since.

credit card records indicate he had been in the Silverbell and Grant area.

Missing man found in Mexico

An 81-year-old man with dementia who was reported missing by his family was found Tuesday in Rocky Point, Sonora.

Louis Green was reported missing from his home in Sierra Vista on Nov. 30.

He was last seen in Tucson near Grant and Silverbell Roads on Dec. 1. He is diabetic.

"Other than suffering from illness believed to have been brought on by his diabetes, Mr. Green was otherwise unharmed when he was found," said Sgt. Mark Robinson, a Tucson Police spokesman.

Robinson didn't say how he got to Mexico.
