Search Under Way For Missing Man

SAN ANTONIO -- Bexar County sheriff's officials are looking for a man missing since Thanksgiving Day, they announced in a press release.

Joseph "Joey" Diaz, 25, was last seen wearing a short-sleeve plaid shirt, blue jeans and black Jordan-brand sneakers in the Dover subdivision near FM 78 in Converse. Diaz has black hair, brown eyes, stands 5 feet 11 inches and weighs about 150 pounds, according to the release. Diaz has been diagnosed with schizophrenia, anxiety disorder and has trouble caring for himself, according to the release.

The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 25-year-old man last seen in Converse.

Joseph “Joey” Diaz was reported missing on Nov. 27. He was last seen in the Dover subdivision near FM 78, according to a Sheriff’s Office press release.

His mother is concerned for his safety because he cannot take care of himself.

According to the release, the mother said Diaz has schizophrenia, anxiety disorder and severe depression.

Human Remains Found In North Bexar County
Resident Walking Dog Makes Discovery Near Camp Bullis

SAN ANTONIO -- A resident walking a dog found some human remains Sunday evening in north Bexar County.

Sgt. Jose Trevino of the Bexar County Sheriff's Office said bones were discovered in a wooded area at Bullis County Park near Blanco Road and Old Blanco Road.

No clothing or identification were found, Trevino said.

An autopsy will be conducted in an effort to identify the victim and a cause of death, Trevino said.

Trevino said that discoveries of human remains are rare in the northern part of the county.

BEXAR COUNTY, Texas -- A man who was reported missing last month has been found in Austin.

The family of Joseph "Joey" Diaz reported him missing on Nov. 27, 2008. He was last seen in the Dover subdivision near FM 78 in Converse.

According to a Bexar County Sheriff's Office news release, Diaz was found at an Austin shelter.
