LAKELAND, FL -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office is searching for 28-year-old Christina Marie Jones.

Christina's family told detectives that she has been diagnosed as Bi-Polar and Schizophophrenic and is without her medication.

She was last seen walking north on Chestnut Road on Tuesday between 11:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.

Jones is described as being 5'5'' tall and weights about 138 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes. She has a tattoo of a mushroom on her right ankle and was last seen wearing blue jeans, purple tank top, and a dark color jacket. She was also carrying a purse.

LAKELAND | Polk County Sheriff’s Office Detectives are asking for the public’s help in locating 28-year old Christina Marie Jones, 5600 New Tampa Highway, No. 54.

Christina Marie Jones Jones’ family told detectives that Jones has been diagnosed as Bi-Polar and Schizophrenic. She left home on foot, and without her medication, Tuesday.

She was last seen walking north on Chestnut Road between 11:30 p.m. and minight.

Detectives consider Jones’ endangered since she is without her medication.

Jones is 5 feet, 5 inches tall and weighs 138 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes.

She has small “mushroom” tattoo on right ankle, and was last seen wearing blue jeans, purple tank top, dark color jacket and carrying a purse.

Authorities say a missing Lakeland woman has returned home unharmed.

Christina Marie Jones left home, 5600 New Tampa Highway, between 11:30 p.m. and midnight Tuesday, walking north on Chestnut Road, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.

Family members were concerned, saying Jones had been diagnosed with bipolar disorder and needed medication.

She returned home unharmed before 9:30 this morning, sheriff's office spokeswoman Donna Wood said.

A deputy was en route to interview Jones. No further details were released.
