Silver Alert issued for 91-yr. old woman

Helen Vanliew, 91, left her house around 4:30 p.m. on Thursday to shop at the Publix store at Royal Palm Beach Blvd and Okeechobee Blvd., she never returned home.

She drove to the Publix in her tan Ford Taurus with New Jersey tag 597 WWW.

Helen Vanliew was last seen wearing a white sweater, brown pants and a wrap around back brace. She is described as 5’2, 125lbs, gray hair, and blue eyes. Ms. Vanliew is in the early stages of dementia.

If anyone has information or knows the whereabouts of Helen Vanliew contact the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office at 561-688-3400 or nearest law enforcement agency.

This is really scary. Being 91 and still driving. Anything could have happened. If they can follow the path she went hopefully they will be able to find her.

It says in the heading she was located? Was she alive or dead?

And yes i agree being able to drive at 91 is scary. My uncle was in his 70s and had had 3 strokes and was still driving and i thought it was just insane he was allowed to do it - basically he was putting other peoples lives at risk. It wasnt that he lived in a village even he lived in a city :(
