FAYETTEVILLE (WTVD) -- A Silver Alert has been issued for a missing Fayetteville man.

North Carolina officials issued a Silver Alert for a missing Fayetteville man late Thursday night.

Authorities are looking for 75-year-old Timothy Burno. He may be suffering from dementia.

Burno has short gray hair and brown eyes. He is wearing a red jacket, tan pants and a red hat.

He was last seen leaving the Cumberland County Department of Social Service parking lot on Ramsey Street.

He was driving a blue Ford Free Star van.

The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a man in Fayetteville.

People are asked to be on the lookout for Timothy Louis Burno, who is believed to suffer from dementia or some other cognitive impairment. Burno, who is black, is 75 years old and was last seen wearing a red jacket, tan pants, gray New Balance shoes and a black hat. He was last scene at the Department of Social Services office on Ramsey Street.

Anyone with information about Burno is asked to call Ashley Bradshaw at the Fayetteville Police Department at 433-1802.

Only thing that stood out to me was that he may be suffering from dementia and if I read correctly, he is driving a car.
Those two don't go together well because he could go a great distance from his local area. Scary.

Silver Alert canceled for Fayetteville man

A missing 75-year-old man was found in Sampson County a day after lawmen issued a Silver Alert.

Timothy Louis Burno was found by Sampson County sheriff’s deputies outside Prestige Farms on the 4600 block of Taylors Bridge Road near Clinton, according to a Fayetteville police spokesman.

Burno went missing from the parking lot of the Cumberland County Department of Social Services at 1225 Ramsey St. on Thursday, according to the alert issued by the N.C. Center for Missing Persons.

He was found about 8 p.m., the spokesman said, and thought he was still outside the building on Ramsey Street.

Thank God Mr Burno was found safe. ...... I'm a little confused as to how a 75 yo man with dementia....could disappear from the parking lot of a Social Services agency.....????....
