(12/03/2008) By Corinne Hautala - A Hebron family is turning to the internet to try and find their missing son. 17 year old Mike Hawkins has been missing since Sunday. On a website (http://sites.google.com/site/findmikehawkins/Home), the parents plea for him to come home.

Hawkins is 6 feet and 140 lbs. He has dark hair with brown eyes.

His parents said he could have dyed his hair blonde.

If you have any information you are asked to call local police or the Thayer County Sheriff's Office.

Mike is 17 years old, 6 ft tall, and about 140 lbs. He has dark hair with brown eyes. He sometimes dyes his hair blond.

He has been missing since November 30, 2008 at 8:00 PM from his home in Hebron, Nebraska.

If you see him, please contact the local police department, or the Thayer County Sherfiff's Department in Hebron, Nebraskas at 402-768-6139.

If you're his friend and can get a message to him, please give him this message from his parents:

"Mike,
Please call or come in to see us. We don't have know where you are staying, we just need to know that you're all right and haven't met up with any trouble. We love you a lot. Your family, both here and back in Iowa are frantic and worried about you. Your sister is sad that you're liable to miss welcoming your niece into the world. Please talk to us, everything else can be worked out later when you're ready. We must hear your voice or see you in order to know that you're really okay.
Love, Mom and Dad"

Forgot to update that the Thayer County Sheriff's department is doing a wonderful job following up leads, and working around the clock on this. My earlier impression was found wrong just a short time after I updated yesterday morning. Special thank you to Sheriff David Lee and his deputies for their continued effort.

Still missing. Another 300 fliers being released today.

Deadends from leads. Not sure if he's still in Lincoln or York, Nebraska. Or which direction from there. I'm worried that the sheriff's office is ready to give up. But we're not. Putting out more fliers and getting the word out by other means available.

Was located in Hebron again. Getting frustrated. My father needs to know he's all right. His grandfather is not doing well with this at all and I implore anyone connected with Michael to please get a hold of us and get this resolved.

Possible sighting in Lincoln, Nebraska. If you're in the area, please keep an eye out. If not, please still keep an eye out. Even if it was him, he may not stay there long.

More leads confirming that he may have been in Lincoln this afternoon. Do not know if he's still in the area. Police trying to tie the pieces together now.

Prayer are with the family and with Mike for a safe return. As for the sightings...If anyone knows where he's at your not helping him buy keeping quite....you must tell someone that at the very least he is ok and where he can be found...be a friend and help the parents.

Confirmed sighting of Mike in Lincoln Gateway Mall. He is still accompanying a black man and has changed his hair to a mohawk style cut. We believe that he is bouncing back and forth from Hebron to Lincoln. Anyone reading this tell him to man up and get back here so we can help him start his life properly. He does not have to live with us to do that, but he does have to deal with his family. His grandparents will be here next weekend and his grandfather needs to see him badly. And his niece is due anyday. His sister needs him too. He is her only sibling and special to us all.
