Police: Missing Man Was Depressed, Left Home With Gun

MIAMI -- Miami-Dade police are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing man from Naranja.

Police said Michael Glynn,61, left his residence on foot at approximately 8:30 a.m. on Dec. 8.

Police said Glynn was recently depressed due to financial hardships and made statements that “life is not worth living.”

Glynn left with unknown type of .38 caliber revolver, police said.

He is described as a white male with brown eyes, weighing 170 pounds and is 5 fee 8 inches tall. Glynn was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and black or brown sandals.

Anyone with information on Glynn’s whereabouts is asked to contact Detective M. Espinosa of the MDPD missing persons unit at 305-418-7201 or call Crimes Stoppers at 305-471-TIPS.

I was doing a search on my father and came across this web site. I wanted to thank you all for including him on here. I'm not sure if the people incharge here are aware but my father was found on Monday evening. Unfortunately his emotional state was such that when he found out the police were involved he called them to "turn himself in". When the police arrived at his location on Monday evening 12/8/08- he killed himself. Thank you to everyone who gave up prayers and good wishes for my father and my family. I hope everyone here has a peaceful and happy holiday season with all of their loved ones. Thank you- Marian Glynn
