It does not stop there; bartenders say energy drinks are now a part of culture.

"Since it came out about four years ago and it's been crazy ever since. They just want it and they want it with everything," says Donna Mae Maximenko, bartender at The Linebacker.

When asked what percentage of the drinks are mixed with energy drinks?

Donna estimated approximately 35 to 45 percent.

And when we saw people bellying up to the bar at the linebacker, we found the same thing.

Breaking news involving a missing Mishawaka woman.

Police in Berrien County have found a body that may be that of 35 year-old Donna Maximenko.

At 10:30 Thursday night, NewsCenter 16 talked with Berrien County Sheriff's Department.

They say they found a body behind the Best Western Hotel in New Buffalo Township earlier in the evening. They are not confirming that this is Maximenko, but they did find her white Ford Taurus 70 yards away from where a body was found in a swamp area.

This all unfolded while Maximenko’s friends in South Bend formed a search group Thursday night hoping that they could put their heads together and find their friend.

Maximenko is a well known face in town having worked in several area bars. She was at the Linebacker for ten years and most recently at the Vine in South Bend.

She was last seen last Wednesday night at the old Tailgaters, now called Mitch's Place in South Bend. Then, at 11:30 friends learned police spotted her on surveillance video at Meijer on Grape Road in Mishawaka.

South Bend Police detectives are working in connection with Berrien County Police.

Oh, my. New Buffalo is where I was raised until the fifth grade.

It's really boomed in the past few years with bars, casinos, and mega people moving out of Chicago.

NEW BUFFALO — An autopsy on the body of a Mishawaka woman discovered a week ago in a wooded area behind an area motel revealed she died of hypothermia, police reported Monday.

Detective Lt. David Chandler of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department said the body of Donna Mae Maximenko, 35, showed no sign of trauma. The finding supported Sheriff Paul Bailey’s statement earlier that foul play was not suspected.

Results of blood tests are not complete, Chandler said.

An employee of The Vine in downtown South Bend, Maximenko was reported missing on Dec. 5 when she failed to show up for work two days in a row. Friends reported she had been despondent since her recent separation from her boyfriend.

Her body was discovered near a parking lot behind the Best Western Motel, 18800 LaPorte Road. Police had initially located her car, a white Ford Taurus, in the lot, triggering the search for the woman.
