SILVER SPRING, Md, - Police are seeking the public's help in locating a missing Silver Spring teen who left her home wearing pajamas and no shoes.

Sixteen-year-old Astrid Borges was last seen leaving her apartment in the 11700 block of Old Columbia Pike around 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 5th.

Police and family say they are very concerned for Borges because she left without appropriate cold weather clothing. There is also concern for her mental state.

Borges is an Hispanic female, standing 5'2" tall and weighing around 130 pounds. She has long black hair and brown eyes.

She is believed to be in the Silver Spring area.

Anyone who may know the whereabouts of Borges is asked to call Montgomery County Police at (301) 279-8000 or the Family Crimes Division at (240) 773-5400.

She is described as a Hispanic female, 5'2" tall, weighing approximately 130 pounds, with long black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing pajamas without shoes.

Police and her family are very concerned for her safety because she left home without appropriate clothing for the cold, snowy weather. And there is also concern for her mental state. Police believe she may be the Silver Spring area.

Montgomery County police are searching for a girl who left her Silver Spring apartment Friday night, authorities said yesterday.

Astrid Borges, 16, was last seen at 9 p.m. Friday leaving the apartment in the 11700 block of Old Columbia Pike, police said. She was wearing pajamas but no shoes, and family members are concerned for her welfare in the cold weather, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Department at 301-279-8000 or the Family Crimes Division at 240-773-5400. Borges is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing about 130 pounds. She has long black hair and brown eyes.
