Mother charged with son's murder
The mother of an 11-year-old boy whose body was found at their home in Kent has been charged with his murder.
Jennifer Taylor, 44, of Knights Croft, New Ash Green, is due to appear before Dartford magistrates later charged with murdering James Taylor.
Ms Taylor was arrested after police found James's body on 2 December. She was taken to hospital, where she was said to be in a critical condition.
She was questioned on Monday after her release and charged, police said.
An inquest into James's death has yet to be opened.
A post-mortem examination has taken place but police said last week that until the results of further examinations were known the cause of death could not be determined.
James was a pupil at Wilmington Grammar School for Boys.
His father, who is not a UK resident, has been told of his death.
