MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department needs your help finding a missing Montgomery man.

Raymond Slobecheski, 78, was last seen at him home on Heustess Street Sunday, December 7th.

Mr. Slobecheski suffers from schizophrenia and has walked away from his home before, previously found walking Atlanta Highway.

Police say the man has relatives in Pennsylvania and has mentioned trying to visit them.

Montgomery man, 78, reported missing

December 9, 2008

Raymond Slobecheski, 78, was reported missing from his residence in the 400 block of Heustess Street on Sunday, according to a news release from the Montgomery Police Department.

Slobecheski has been diagnosed with schizophrenia and has walked away from his residence before, the release states. He has previously been located on Atlanta Highway and might have been seen in the area of Taylor Road. Slobecheski has relatives in Pennsylvania and has mentioned trying to go visit them, according to the release.

Anyone with any information on Slobecheski’s whereabouts is asked to call the Montgomery Police Department at 241-2831.

Missing 78-year-old found

MONTGOMERY, AL (WSFA) - The Montgomery Police Department says staff members at a local health care facility recognized a missing 78-year-old man after seeing his picture in media reports.

Raymond Slobecheski, 78, was last seen at him home on Heustess Street Sunday, December 7th.

Mr. Slobecheski suffers from schizophrenia and has walked away from his home before, previously found walking Atlanta Highway.

The facility notified police of Mr. Slobecheski's whereabouts and said he was in good condition.
