I hope somebody can help me. A couple of Sunday's ago, around 6pm (I think), I watched a new show on tru tv. At least I think it was Tru Tv. Anyway, it was about a man that was murdered by his wife. She poisoned him for the sole reason of collecting life insurance.

The thing about the show is that it's told from the victim's perspective. An actor played the victim and narrated during the show. There were a few scenes that were acted out, but there was also pictures and real news clips of the wife. The victim's mother and sister were also interviewed.

I think the title was 2 words. But I can NOT for the life of me remember the name of it.

It was advertised as a new series, but I haven't seen another episode of it yet.

Does anybody know what I'm talking about? :francis:

There's a list of shows, and you might remember it if you saw it.

Thanks, Roamer, but I did that before I ever made this thread. It's not listed.

So, I thought, well, maybe it was on A & E, and not trutv. I went to their website. Nothing.

I know I'm not imagining this show. It's driving me nuts! It was good and I want to see more!

The series premier of Personal Justice was on last night.. it had a couple of different stories of parents of murdered/missing taking things in their own hands to find answers.. It looks like it's going to be pretty good.. It's on Wednesdays at 9 ET I think.

Well, that must not be what I'm talking about. I saw one episode of this show. Some of it was a re-enactment and some of it was actual footage. There was an actor that played the murdered husband, and he talked in first person during the show.

I can't believe I don't remember the channel or the name of the show.

Personal Justice was really good. I especially liked the episode because about a month ago or so I watched the movie of this story on Lifetime!
This woman was on her second marriage and living the high life, unbeknown to her second husband, she was over spending, getting loans, forging his name, etc.
Her first husband was killed by an accidental fatal gunshot wound in the middle of the night.
Second husband, who was a school teacher, started to get nervous and confided in his first wife that he was in fear and if anything ever happened to him, that she should look closely at the second wife.
Current wife accidentally shot him in the head in the middle of the night, with his hand gun that was loaded and under his pillow.
Sound similar?
Second wife went to the police and told them the story, they got on the case as homicide. Meanwhile at the high school, someone found a tape on top of a locker. It was a tape of the husband stating his fears.
She was busted, convicted and sent to prison for life...case closed.
It was the first wife that did a lot of the searching for evidence, such as home files, bank records, etc. She is really the one that was determined to put the widow behind bars. It was her Personal Justice.
In the movie Jacquelyn Smith played the black widow.

I saw that movie too, Tee! It was good! I would've loved to see that episode of Personal Justice! Dangit. I can't keep all the shows straight!

Does TLC re-run their shows over and over like MTV?

There is no way I can go back to work. I won't have time to watch all of my shows. lol

F~M,

I know this thread is from a year ago, but LiveLaughLove thought the show might be True Witness. Did you ever find out? I've never seen True Witness or Personal Justice. I've been missing out I guess.
