I cannot imagine a hospital having to tell relatives to have a patient that is in the hospital to back down on so many phone calls!! Even though the Steph's family probably didn't like being told that, I think they were probably secretly thrilled that so many of us care about each other! :basic44:

When a member started a thread for PatC for her son passing away, when I first read it, I sat there looking at the screen with tears coming down my face. I actually wanted to fly to wherever Pat is from to be with her!

I've read that some members had problems when they met some members.....face to face, but the peeps I've talked with are ALL good people. I can just feel it.

I can't stay on that board and read about it being turned over to another board. I've been on another board, (A&E) which is just as huge as CTV, and watched the board turn into a brand spaking new board. Many friends/members left and even though we all passed out our email addy's, only 1 person from the huge group of ours, has stayed in touch with me.

I love talking to new people!! This is what relaxes me. I've already gone through one big board that went through a major over-haul, and I'm not going through that again.

I'm just glad that this board was started and many of my good friends are over here!

Rockford, you can't possibly know how much that board meant to me when KC was killed. I think it may, quite literally, have saved my sanity. I was able to "talk" about KC to all of my cyber-friends who were there for me when it meant the most and in ways my friends and relatives around here just couldn't be and didn't understand. The loss of that is breaking my heart. I'm so glad to see more and more of our CTV-ers showing up here.

I've checked out a couple of other boards off and on, but this one is certainly easy to navigate and an attractive lay-out.

It is sad, very sad to see the Courttv boards go, but thankfully we all have the opportunity to all move together to a new posting "home". I had considered opening a board myself, but Harlett Pm'd me with the info for this and it is great! It is the same software used for the CTV boards, just an updated version and has more options and such. I like it. However, like many of you, there is something very special about the old board. We all will have our own special memories from there. But I think we will be fine here. I am more concerned regarding the changes in programming on the new truTv. I love the trial coverage. Period. I am not happy that is being cut off at 3:00pm. but I cannot change it. I hope somehow, the online feeds that they are talking about on CNN.com will be adequate coverage of the trials we follow. If not, goodness, we will have to hope that some other network will pick up live trial coverage. I have wondered why some internet news network doesn't start up an online version of daytime trial coverage on a permanent basis. Perhaps someone will...Otherwise, trial coverage is going to be hard to follow, just being able to see it til 3:00pm on tv and then if were lucky sometimes on cnn.com. Well, we will just have to wait and see I suppose.

I am glad to see everyone here that has made it over so far! More will be coming, and the onslaught will likely occur Jan 1..~~~GOOD TO SEE YOU ALL!!

Yep...I've honed my internet skills the past 10 yrs and have much to offer.
However, I do have limits too. I tend to be a rebel at heart, and love to expose greed/fraud/medical mismanagement. And to offer people who are interested how to improve their lives, easily, economically to help avoid medical issues if possible.(ie.prevention)

I have alot of experience (40yrs) with drugs. And also ferreting out mysteries.

So any questions, I will try to help. If I can't I will offer where to go to find answers. I cannot "practice" here, however, in a traditional sense. So I ALWAYS give links to support my opinions and suggestions. I specialize in complementary solutions --meaning nutrients, minerals, and smart eating.
There are so many subclinical issues with nutrient depletions caused by common drugs, that need to be addressed. But I also am trained and have alot experience in pathology and recognizing what needs immediate medical intervention and what does not.

I just don't know everyone very well here socially. So excuse me for awkwardness.

So if you have a serious issue, like Parkinson's, RSD, MS, etc...you might want to check out that community. Some very good current info can be found there too.
