Can he do that? Will it stand if he's impeached?

I think I heard on the news a week ago, that the Senate doesn't have to accept who he wants to appoint since Gov. Blog is under suspicion. I heard that on one of the cable news shows.
I'll research and see what I can find and post it here later.

Yes; he can do that. He is still our Governor. Harry Reid will not accept any appointment by Gov. Blago. Senator Dick Durbin just said he will not accept any appointment by Blago.
I talked to my brother who worked for Roland Burris; and he said he is just as crooked as the rest of them. He said the AG's office was a nightmare when he was AG.

Not for certain, but my guess would be Lt. Gov, Pat Quinn.

Have the people of Illinois ever considered that their governor is just flat crazy as a loon? Nobody in their right mind would insist on staying in office with all the demands for them to step down. They need to wrap his lunch in a roadmap and tell him to just GO. This whole thing is crazy. The state representatives need to meet and stay in session 24/7 till they impeach him.

I'm guessing you're right; though; WE THE PEOPLE; were supposed to elect the new senator but the House Dems dragged their feet in writing legislation for this to happen for fear we might elect a Republican Senator. So Blago stuck it to them yesterday.

The House is in session pretty much 24/7 untill he is impeached. They even worked Christmas Eve and will work today. Our Lt. Gov. says he will be impeached by Lincoln's birthday.
