West Hartford Police Say Man's Disappearance is Suspicious

WEST HARTFORD - A missing 35-year-old man last seen Friday in West Hartford disappeared under suspicious circumstances, police said.

West Hartford are seeking in locating Charles Teasley and his 1999 dark gray, four-door Acura TL with Connecticut license plate 850 XEW.

Police declined to elaborate on the fact's surrounding his disappearance because of the ongoing investigation.

Teasley is described as black, about 6 foot 3, 280 pounds, with a beard and tattoos on his neck and right arm.

The arm tattoos show praying hands and a sun.

When last seen, Teasley was clad almost entirely in black -- black jeans, black thermal shirt, black hat, black North Face jacket and black boots with a red tip, police said. Police did not say where he was last seen or who reported him missing.

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- West Hartford police are trying to find a missing man last seen Friday in West Hartford.

Police said Charles Teasley, 35, is a black man with a beard, about 6 feet 3 inches tall and about 280 pounds. Family members reported him missing, according to police. Police did not disclose any other information about why he might have gone missing.

Teasley was last seen wearing black jeans, a black thermal shirt, black hat, black North Face jacket and black boots with red in the toe area. He has three tattoos: "Kim" on the left side of his neck; praying hands on his right arm and a sun on his right arm.

Teasley drives a dark gray 1999 four-door Acura TL with Connecticut tag 850XEW. The car is pictured below.

Body Found In Hartford May Be That Of Man Reported Missing

A body found Monday in a car parked on Colebrook Street may be that of a 35-year-old man who had been reported missing in West Hartford last week.

Relatives of Charles Teasley gathered at the scene Monday afternoon. They said a friend found Teasley in his 1999 Acura TL, but they do not know how he died.

West Hartford police said Teasley disappeared under suspicious circumstances. He was last seen on Friday in West Hartford.

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Police are investigating a car found Monday afternoon on Colebrook Street in Hartford with a body inside.

West Hartford police said they were informed Friday that 35-year-old Charles Teasley had gone missing. They said he was last seen in a dark gray Acura with license plate No. 850EW -- the same car police were investigating Monday in Hartford.

At about 2:30 p.m., a van pulled up and officers loaded what appeared to be a body inside, Eyewitness News Reporter Hallie Jackson said. Police wouldn’t comment on the situation, she said, but as this scene unfolded, onlookers began crying and hugging, and one woman, so overcome with emotion, required medical attention.

Andel Green said he remembers the car being in the same spot over the weekend.

The car was towed away shortly after 3:30 p.m

The search for a missing West Hartford man is over. Charles Teasley, 35, died of several gunshot wounds, the medical examiner said Tuesday.

Teasley had been missing since Friday.

Hartford Police discovered a body Monday in a car that matched the description of one belonging to Teasley but have not said that it was the missing man.

The man found in the car at of Colebrook and Lyme streets had been shot several times, police said Monday.
