I pray she is hiding with a friend and will call her parents soon. That is a much better scenario that the idea she may have met an older person online and run off to be with him.

Fourteen year old Kelsee Grogg was spotted in Pennsylvania.

WESTON -- State police are looking for a missing Lewis County teenager.

Kelsee Brooke Grogg, 14 of Jane Lew, was last seen at her home at 9:00 p.m. Monday.

At 6:00 a.m. Tuesday morning, her mother discovered that she was missing and had taken a bag of clothing with her.

Grogg got in a truck at the Jane Lew Truck Stop and rode with the driver to another truck stop in Brookville, Pa., troopers say.

Troopers spoke with the authorities in Pennsylvania and confirmed through surveillance video, that Grogg was at the truck stop between 5:00 and 6:30 on the morning of the 13th.

Troopers have spoken to the truck driver who dropped Grogg off in Pennsylvania.

Grogg told the trucker that her name was Alice, that she was 18 and that she was fleeing an abusive relationship with a boyfriend, say troopers.

Kelsee mentioned to the truck driver and an employee at the truck stop, that she may be heading to New York, according to Grogg's mother, Lisa Hardy.

Grogg's mother does not know of any reason that she would head to New York.

Kelsee showed no indications of leaving and had not had any arguments at home, says Hardy.

Hardy says Kelsee has not done anything like this before.

Grogg did not have internet access at home, according to her mother.

Hardy has asked that an Amber Alert be issued, but has been told that the alerts are only used for children who have been abducted.

Family members have called the New York Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the center has put up posters at truck stops.

Hardy says the family has received a number of tips from people who have posted comments on this website.

Troopers say they are following all leads to locate Grogg.

Grogg is described as a white female, approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 185 pounds with blonde hair and blue eyes.

She may be wearing a brown Carhartt-type jacket and brown New Balance tennis shoes, troopers say.

Grogg typically wears her hair straight, but could have it in a ponytail.

Kelsee took a small duffel bag, with a few outfits, says her mother.

Hardy is asking any of Kelsee's friends, who might have any information on her whereabouts, to contact her, the police or their parents.

Family members say they would like to thank everyone who has helped them in the search.

If you have information on her whereabouts, you are asked to call the Weston detachment of the state police at (304) 269-0500.

January 19, 2009 - Monday

Day 6
Current mood: hopeful

Kelsee, my dear...I can’t believe it’s been six whole days since you left. Tomorrow will be a week, and we still haven’t heard or seen from you. It will be ok though; my faith right now is strong as ever. I’m a firm believer that everything happens for a reason, and I trust that God will bring you home safely. As I sit here tonight, realizing how many people are willing to help us out, I am amazed. There are soooo many people pulling for you. I am touched by the amount of people that have come forward so far. And this myspace has already far surpassed my expectations, I am so tickled that people are contributing the way that they are. Honestly, it gives me hope. Tonight I feel reassured, that there are good people in this world and I feel positive that we will find you. Not one of us is giving up. I’ve been hoping and praying that you are safe and that you are not out in the cold and right now I can honestly say that I feel in my heart that you are ok Kelsee. We are continuing to do everything in our power; we are exhausting every option. Our family is closer than ever; our main and only focus is you. Ill continue to be positive, and to pray for you everyday until you’re back here where you belong. Hang in there babe, we’re on our way. Goodnight Kels, we all love you.

WESTON -- A 14 year old girl, who has been missing from Lewis County since January 12, has been found, according to family members and the West Virginia State Police.

Kelsee Grogg turned herself in to police in Turtle Creek, Pa. around 3:00 Tuesday morning.

Family members picked her up in the community near Pittsburgh and brought her home.

Grogg is in good condition and is happy to be home, relatives say.

She told relatives, she does not know why she left and that it was a spur of the moment decision.

Grogg hopped rides and made a few stops before ending up in Turtle Creek.

She was not headed there on purpose, but just ended up there, say family members.

Grogg left Lewis County from the Jane Lew Truck Stop on January 12.

She was seen the next day at a truck stop in Brookville, Pa.

Family members worked with authorities and businesses to find her.

The family members say they would like to thank everyone who helped in the search.
