Gender: Female
Distinguishing Characteristics: Was wearing a wrist splint
on her left wrist and walks with a severe limp due to a metal rod in leg Medical Conditions: Post-traumatic stress syndrome -
requires medication that she does not have with her Clothing: Navy blue sweat shirt, jeans (possibly Old Navy),
white tennis shoes (possibly Adidas) Case Number: 04-51500


Details of Disappearance
Anita was last seen at approximately 3.00am on the morning of April 13th, walking towards the corner of East Lee Rd. and Edwards Rd. in Taylor. The last time Anita was seen she was in a distraught state.
Anita is in serious need of medical attention for injuries sustained in an automobile accident on January 24th, 2004. After the accident in January, Anita's doctor diagnosed her with post-traumatic stress syndrome.
Anita has been taking medication for the post-traumatic stress, which she does not have with her. Anita does not have any form of identification with her.
She left her glasses behind as well as other personal items.

I can not find anything on this girl. And just because she is still listed at nampn above doesn't necessarily mean she is still missing. A search on Michael F Shiltz came up with his obituary and a listing at nampn. Her missing website looks deserted. You would think she would be listed somewhere else if she was still missing. Maybe someone else can do a search on her.

Please let us know what you hear. My cousin lived in a neighboring town when Anita went missing. I can't believe that after all these years she's still missing.

I received this email today.



Hey Billie, I spoke with the investigator in this case and he advised she was picked up shortly after her disappearance. She had runaway with a friend. He made 3 arrests in the case in regards to false information.
She can be removed from the site.

(She is still listed at the National Site but I think LE has to have her removed. I'm not sure about that.)
