HOUSTON -- Nearly three years after they were last seen, two Harris County boys have been found unharmed in Rosenberg.
In 2006 Adrian, then 4 years old, and Angel, who was 2, were thought to have disappeared with their father. Adrian Castillo, Sr. did not have custody of the boys.
The children were placed in the custody of Child Protective Services after their parents were charged with a crime. CPS says the boys were living with their paternal grandparents.
In 2004 Castillo, Sr. and his common law wife, Jolene Valencia, were charged with injury to a child in connection with the homicide of their two-month-old son. Two years later, investigators say Castillo, Sr. and Valencia picked up their kids from the grandparents' house and were on the run.
Valencia was arrested in December. During an interview with investigators, she said her kids were living with their maternal grandparents in Rosenberg.
The Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force found them Monday night and placed them in a foster home.
Meanwhile, the Gulf Coast Task Force is still searching for Castillo Sr., according to the statement. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division at 713-967-5810, or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.

FORT BEND COUNTY -- A two year search for two missing children is over.
Prosecutors said the children's parents, Adrian Castillo and Jolene Valencia, took their two young boys from CPS custody in 2006.
Back in 2004, the couple was in court for allegedly starving their third child. The State of Texas took custody of their older boys until the couple snatched them and ran.
Last month, authorities arrested Jolene Valencia, and she told them where the boys were.
Authorities found the boys on Tuesday in a trailer home in Fort Bend County.
The children's father is still on the run.

Two boys missing since they were allegedly abducted by their biological parents in April 2006 were found on Monday, living with their maternal grandparents in Fort Bend County.
The boys, ages 5 and 6, are now in foster care, Child Protective Services spokeswoman Estella Olguin said.
Their father remains at large and is wanted on felony charges of injury to a child in the October 2004 death of his infant son.
Their mother, who was also charged with injury to a child in her son's death, was arrested in December and indicated that the boys might be with grandparents in a Rosenberg trailer.
The children were taken into custody by the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office.
"Their hygiene was in deplorable condition," Olguin said.
The boys were first placed in CPS custody at the time of their brother's death and were placed with approved family members on their mother's side in August 2005.
Adrian Castillo, who turns 26 on Wednesday, and Jolene Valencia, 24, brought their 2-month-old son to Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital on Oct. 26, 2004.
The infant was pronounced dead, and the Harris County Medical Examiner's Office later determined he died of starvation.
"You could see every rib in his body," Olguin said.
Castillo and Valencia, whose parental rights were terminated, allegedly abducted the children from Castillo's parents' home during a family birthday celebration on April 10, 2006.
Authorities received reports that the boys were seen in Louisiana and Mexico, Olguin said.
"We have no plans to return them to family members this time," she added.
Authorities also suspect Valencia gave birth to a daughter before her arrest and left the infant with relatives, Olguin said.
"We will be looking into that situation," she said.
Anyone with information about Castillo's whereabouts is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Division at 713-967-5810, or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

The Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force located the now 5- and 6-year-old boys Monday night. They were living in a trailer behind a house on Damon Street in Rosenberg.
Child Protective Services spokeswoman, Estella Olguin, says the boys were filthy, and it appeared they had not bathed in days.
Investigators had feared the children were in danger. In 2004 their parents, Adrian Castillo, Sr. and Jolene Valencia were charged with injury to a child.
The Harris County Sheriff's Office says they starved to death their two month old son. As a result, the couple's surviving children, Adrian Jr. and Angel, were placed in CPS custody.
The children's paternal grandparents began caring for the boys. In April 2006, Castillo and Valencia picked them up for a visit and never returned.
Despite media coverage the boys went undetected for nearly three years. At one time investigators thought the family was in Mexico.
Last month, Valencia was rearrested on the injury to a child charges. She told investigators her kids were with their maternal grandparents in Rosenberg.
CPS placed the children in a foster home. Castillo, Sr. still hasn't been found.
"For fugitives, time is always on our side," said Alfredo Perez, Deputy U.S. Marshal. "The fugitive always has to look behind his shoulder. He always has to watch out. He can only mess up one time, and we'll catch him.
Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts is encouraged to contact the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Homicide Division at 713-967-5810, or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.

According to HCN news affiliate, KTRK Channel 13, two children missing for almost 3 years have been found safe in Fort Bend County.
The father of the children, Adrian Castillo, Sr., is still being sought by police.
Six-year-old Adrian Castillo, Jr. and 5-year-old Angel Castillo were found after the mother, Jolene Valencia told authorities about their possible whereabouts, shortly after her arrest in December 2008, according to the report.
In response to the information, the Gulf Coast Task Force, assisted by the Fort Bend County Sheriff's Office, set up surveillance outside a trailer home in Fort Bend County and recovered the two boys.
Castillo Sr. and Valencia were wanted out of Harris County on felony charges of injury to a child with serious bodily injury, stemming from evidence indicating the parents starved their infant child to death years ago.
As a result, their two other children, Adrian, Jr. and Angel Castillo were taken into custody by Harris County Children's Protective Services.
The Castillo’s managed to take the children from CPS custody and flee the state.
Since April 2006, the Task Force has pursued the fugitives and made several high-profile attempts to locate the fugitives and the children using media, newspaper, and police reports in 2006 to no avail.
The police are investigating the two adults inside of the trailer home where the children were found and recovered.
Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Adrian Castillo, Sr. are encouraged to contact the homicide division of the Harris County Sheriff's Office at 713-967-5810, or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
