St. Charles City police are looking for two missing teenage girls who left a rehab center in the city the night of January fifth. One of the girls, Hannah Hudson of St. Joseph, MO is without her medication for bi-polar disease. That worries her parents and authorities.
16 year old Hannah has led a "pretty sheltered" life according to her stepmother Rhonda Hudson. "She might do something spontaneous and put herself in a position that she doesn't know how to handle," said Hudson. The teen had been receiving help to deal with a drug addiction. Her father, Bob Hudson and stepmother said they have been coming to weekly hour long counseling sessions since she was placed at the Preferred Family Healthcare Center in St. Charles City in mid December. "She was doing real well," said her dad. "We're in shock."
St. Charles City Police detective Derek Piasecki hopes someone in the community will spot the girls and help authorities track them down. " We just want to make sure you're safe . Your parents and family want to make sure you're safe," Detective Piasecki said. Hudson's stepmother, fighting back tears, repeated the message saying "We'll get her the help she needs; she's not in trouble."
The Hudson family is offering a five hundred dollar reward for information leading to Hannah's safe return.
Also missing is a local teen, Kimberly Hemman. She will turn 16 on Wednesday. Both girls are described as five foot eight inches tall.
Anyone with information is asked to call the St. Charles city police department at 636-949-3300.
