Adamsville - On 06-12-08 the Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into the death of 90 year old Mary Moore after the Medical Examiners Office ruled her death a homicide.
On 01-09-09 police were able to obtain a warrant against the victim’s daughter, 57 year old Patricia Ford. Patricia Ford is charged with manslaughter in the death of her mother Mary Moore. Although she was 90 years old she would have lived longer if she had been properly cared for. The offense took place at in the 100 block of Baggett Hills Road within the city limits of Adamsville.
Medical personnel responding to the home of Patricia Ford found Mary Moore lying in a bed of feces, urine, blood and live bugs. Medical personnel from Princeton hospital reported that Mary Moore was admitted to the hospital in a condition of extreme neglect.
As a result of poor care, Mary Moore suffered from malnutrition and severely infected bed sores resulting in a slow and painful death. Ford was arrested at her West End Home Wednesday morning by the Sheriff’s Warrant Division deputies.
Ford was booked into the County Jail for Manslaughter and is being held under $30,000 bond.
