Bradenton, Florida - Manatee County Sheriff's deputies are searching for a newborn who may be in danger from his own parents.
Investigators say 27-year-old Leslee Hoppe gave birth to her son Judd Hoppe Jr. just before Christmas. Hoppe had been ordered to alert The Department of Children and Families when she gave birth.
Detectives say Hoppe and her 42-year-old husband Judd Sr. have other children together, but those children were taken into DCF custody because of domestic abuse and drug use.
Manatee detectives say they became involved in the case because Leslee Hoppe had the baby at Manatee Memorial Hospital and never notified DCF of the boy's birth.
The couple may be in the Ft. Myers area and possibly headed north. They were last seen driving a 4-door, silver Kia with Florida tag H45WL.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Manatee County Sheriff's Office 941-747-3011.
