SMITHS, AL (WSFA) - The Lee County Sheriff's Department is asking for the public's help in finding a missing Smiths man.
Dexter Lamont Graham, 36, was last seen on the morning of January 9, 2009 after heading to work.
Several people tell the sheriff's department they saw him on the Fort Benning military base around 8:30am that morning.
He hasn't been seen since.

Lee County authorities are searching for a man last seen on Jan. 9.
Dexter Lamont Graham, 36, of Smiths, Ala. left his home that morning on his way to work, said Lee County Sheriff’s Capt. Van Jackson. He was again seen on Fort Benning around 8:30 a.m. that day, but hasn’t been seen since.
Graham is black man standing 5-foot-7 and weighing 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a tan camouflage military uniform.
Graham was last seen in a tan, four-door 2000 Mitsubishi Mirage with a license tag number of 43M629B.

Help Needed on Missing Lee County Man

The family of Dexter Lamont Graham,(36), of Smiths, reported him missing to the Lee County Sheriff's Office on January 11, 2009. According to the family, the last time that Graham was seen was the morning of January 09, 2009, after leaving his residence, heading toward work. He was later seen on Ft. Benning military base in Columbus, Georgia around 8:30 AM/EST but has not been seen or heard from since. He is described as a black male, 5'07", 150 lbs, black hair, brown eyes. He was wearing a tan camouflage military uniform. If you have any information about the whereabouts of Graham, please contact the Lee County Sheriff's Office at 1-800-239-7072 or 749-5651.

I am confused. It mentions he was headed to work. Was he a member of the military? I did not see a rank. This one is strange. I hope he is located...safe...soon.

If you look at the picture Faith posted (the first post) on the right, it looks like he is in some kind of military tank, so I would hazard a guess he is in the military but cannot find actual confirmation yet.

As per the 800 number on the original newspaper atricle - Dexter has been found. I do not know IF he went back to the Army but I do know that he was found. Does anyone know any more info?

saw a note on HelpFindtheMissing.org board that he might have been located so I emailed the Lee County Sheriff's Department. Capt. Jackson's response:
Dexter Graham has been located. If you have any additional questions or comments pertaining to unidentified or missing individuals. Thanks for your assistant.
