Kelseyville teen girl reported missing

LAKE COUNTY -- Kelseyville 14-year-old Courtney Lynn Crusse's family is doing the unthinkable posting fliers with her picture, a description of her clothing and the man with whom she was last seen.

Crusse's mother, Robyn Campbell, said she and her grandmother, Peggy Goldner, who is Crusse's legal guardian, reported Crusse missing earlier this week. They told the Lake County Sheriff's Office (LCSO) Crusse had run away with a Hispanic male in his 20s who is identified only as "Enrique," or "Ricky."

"She left goodbye notes saying, everyone will be better off without me,'" Campbell said.

Crusse is described as 5-feet, 5-inches tall, weighing 220 pounds, having blond hair that is dyed black, hazel eyes and a scar on her left shoulder.

According to a flier Campbell is circulating, Crusse was last seen on Monday at Goldner's house at approximately 10 p.m. She was wearing blue jeans and a brown, hooded, zip-up sweatshirt jacket with black writing. Goldner realized Crusse was missing the following morning when she tried to wake her for school and found her bed stuffed, according to Campbell.

Campbell said she'd heard from one of Crusse's friends that she planned to go to Florida with the Hispanic male. Campbell said the two may be traveling in a white Nissan Sentra with Washington license plates.

Captain Jim Bauman of the LCSO confirmed that Campbell and Goldner, reported on Tuesday that Crusse had run away. He said the Polly Klaas Foundation and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children have been notified of the case.

"Crusse left notes with her grandmother and with a friend, both of which clearly indicated her intent to leave on her own initiative, and we have no reason to believe foul play is a factor," Bauman said.

According to a flier generated by the Polly Klaas Foundation, Crusse may still be in Lake County.

Anyone with information about Crusse's whereabouts is urged to call the LCSO non-emergency line, 263-2690.

This is a very common type of runaway. A very young girl leaving with a man who should be dating women his own age. Even if they locate her, she is probably hard headed enough to leave again. So very frustrating trying to protect young teens.

I agree. We see so many of these kinds of cases nowadays don't we? It is so very frustrating. These girls don't realize that these men are really predators. We can just hope that they are found and he gets locked up and with him in jail she may have no need to run again. At least for awhile.

That tends to happen sometimes. I think getting HIS pic out there is just as important as getting HERS out there. Someone might see him before they see her ya know? If he's smart he'll take her home but I have my doubts about that happening.

Tracian, you must live near my sister, she lives in Clear Lake. Her Daughter was the one that was murdered a few years ago and it took 2 years to find her body dumped in a field by Cache Creek. The POS is behind bar's only LWOP>

Likely just haven't updated. They still have Briant Rodriguez listed too as missing and we know he's been found.
