SALISBURY : Man reported missing from Airport Road home
SALISBURY — Police say they are looking for a mn reported missing since Friday from an Airport Road residence. Maryland State Police said Jeffrey Robert Gunderson was reported missing Friday from 4759 Airport Road by his fiancee, Loyla Virginia Pusey. Pusey told responding state troopers on Sunday morning that she last saw Gunderson around noon. She told police Gunderson has “some health issues” and is an asthmatic. Pusey said Gunderson’s vehicle was still at the residence, the front door had been left opened and the coffee pot on. Gunderson is not suicidal and all of his medication was still at the residence, Pusey said. The police report said Gunderson is a recovering alcoholic, who has been known to go on drinking binges and disappear for days. A search by police and sheriff’s deputies involving police dogs and a helicopter has failed to locate Gunderson. The Wicomico Bureau of Investigation is continuing the investigation, police said. http://www.delmarvanow.com/apps/pbcs...D=200880609005

Dance aims to help find missing man
Fundraiser's goal is to raise $3,000 at the Holly Center By Sharahn D. Boykin • Staff Writer • January 24, 2009 SALISBURY -- When a 61-year-old Salisbury resident found her back door open on a Friday night in June, she knew something wasn't quite right. Lola Pusey went to tell her fiancé, her companion for the last 30 years, that he left the door open, but he wasn't in the house. Pusey took a flashlight and looked in the couple's backyard, but he wasn't there. She went to call him on his cell phone, but she noticed it was still on the charger beside his beloved beige recliner. "I didn't want to believe he was missing, but I did have a sickening feeling," Pusey said. Pusey has never seen her fiancé, Jeff Gunderson, since that day in June. Now, eight months later she believes he is dead, but finds it difficult to have closure without Gunderson's remains. "I cry half the night just wondering what he went through those final minutes of his life," Pusey said. Pusey is hosting a dance at the Holly Center to help raise money for a reward for information about Gunderson's disappearance in June. She hopes to raise $3,000. Pusey hopes that in addition to raising funds, the event will also raise awareness, she said. "It's going to be a good fellowship but it will also make people aware that it can happen to anybody." http://www.delmarvanow.com/article/2...WS01/901240335

Thank you, Look4you. It's good to know they are staying active and the more his story gets out in public the better a chance for someone to realize they might know something.

Search Continues For Man Missing For Almost One Year
By AMBER WATSON -- WMDT 4/1/2009 A Salisbury women continues to ask how her boyfriend disappeared without many clues left behind. "I just never want another person to feel this way," said Lola Pusey. She has spent close to a year searching for Jeff Gunderson her partner for 30 years who suddenly went missing. On Friday, June 6, Lola Pusey said she came home after work and saw Jeff's truck in the front of the house. She figured he was in the house sleeping and wasn't suspicious of anything; infact, she even relaxed and watched a movie. When she later saw the back door was wide open she became concerned, but didn't report Jeff missing because she thought she had to wait. "I always thought that it took 48 hours to report an adult missing," said Pusey. Police say that's a misconception many people have. Police and family suspect foul play, and are not giving up the search. "We feel confident this case will be resolved. There's very few missing persons and suspected foul play cases that are unresolved on the eastern shore," said Sergeant Carsten Wendlandt, with the Wicomico Bureau of Investigation. "There's a current piece of information we're working on now that could lead to another search, said WBI Sergeant David Owens. Lola says she hopes that search leads to Jeff's remains so he can finally rest in peace. Family and friends are offering a $2,000 reward to anyone who has information leading to an arrest. If you know anything about Jeff Gunderson's disappearance you're asked to call crime stoppers at 1-800-Tip-3333. http://www.wmdt.com/topstory/displaystory.asp?id=12426 |
