Lets see, I've got Nevada, Arizona, Florida and now Mississippi to choose from...Florida is not first on my list, hubby wants it due to his mom living there...

I want to know more about the blocks. Facets is one of the words my ortho doctor mentioned. Along with degenerative disc disease, arthritis, spurs. I received an epidural about six weeks ago and was supposed to get one today. The appointment was changed until the 24th. It helped for about a month with the stabbing pain in my spine. But even then the muscles, even with soma, were so tense when I would stand I could hardly stand it. Do you have it done in an office or out patient?
When I told my GP last week that the pain doctor that does the epidural does it in the office without versed. He looked at me and laughed sorta. He said, "He gives them without any antithesia?" (that is so far off even spell check didn't recognize it.) I said yes, He said, "He gave it to YOU without it?" He put me to sleep to do a colonoscopy on me. I'll admit, I cried before he finished, but I have to have some kind of relief. The pain doctor said it was a waste of time since it only took about five or six minutes to do the procedure. I tend to agree since I hate going through the ordeal of out patient stuff. Pre op registering, having to be at the hospital at daybreak. I think I can do without it. We were talking before the injection last time and he said he didn't believe in all of these FMS diagnoses. I said, If you don't believe in FMS, I don't want you to give me a shot. I couldn't believe I even said that and Jamie started laughing. The doctor said, "Oh, I didn't say I don't believe in it, I said I don't believe in all of the cases that you hear about now whenever they don't know what to call what's wrong with a person." I agreed with him on that. |

No, I am always put to sleep to do this procedure. They go in with fluoroscopy camera and then they guild the injection into the spine, either the nerves or the bone that's causing the pain. I don't know why you get in done in the office instead of being put to sleep, I wouldn't..I'm scared to death I might move and boom, paralysed... I get both. I get the facet block which is an injection straight into the bone. I have on disc that disattached from the base of my spine and it just rattles around, the proper name is: Quote:

![]() Thank you my friend. And this is for my friends with CFS and all of the ones like Roamer that probably do have FMS. I did think it was bigger but God can read small print. |

I wish my leaves would blow around like yours. They did at photobucket. I don't really understand all about sizes and gif, which it is, etc.
I haven't had anything to move since I stopped Winnie the Pooh from signing my name all day long. |

I have stopped the Savella. The pain in my legs were getting worse everyday. Just knots and I had to stop the new med to see if that was causing it. My legs are so much better. It's bad to not know for sure. It may have been the Fibro, but I'm not up the that pain right now. And since the psychiatrist had already put me back on both antidepressants, I'll be ok for a while I hope.
