At the very least, Jackson's death should serve to warn people that iinsomnia, which can cause health problems and make you miserable, will not kill you. Going to extrodinary lenghths to combat it can. There is no excuse for a licensed doctor to do what Murray did. That is why we require that they have a license before the practice medicine....so they will know better.

I thought the whole extortions and the court system broke his heart and his spirit. I was really sad for him in the years since that happened. His leaving Neverland and the country and really, he didn't look healthy the few times we'd see pictures of him. So I was always worried about him.

When it became apparent that propofol caused his death, I couldn't see any way around anyone but the doctor being responsible. The bottom line being that Murray had no right to prescribe or administer that drug in that situation. It's negligent and manslaughter at the least IMO. It is up to the courts to decide.

What the movie answered for me was that Michael didn't have a drug problem that was ongoing. We've all seen it. Celebrities who have drug problems and can't seem to function for any length of time. That footage covered from April to June IIRC. He was doing an incredible amount of work during that time. Not something that he could have done had he been in the shape that say, Elvis was before he died.

It would seem that Michael had horrifying insomnia, and that made him desperate and he thought the propofol was the answer. I believe it was the responsibility of the medical professionals to not do what they knew was unethical and dangerous. That's just my opinion.

What a wonderful response.

"This Is It" also confirmed for me that Michael was not the druggie that people made him out to be. I still could be wrong if they ever release the full autopsy results. And I really believe that he would have finished his 50 concerts. It would have been somethng to behold.

Although at first I believed that the very least Murray should be charge with is man-slaughter, after seeing this movie/documentary, I think the charge should be higher.

What really bothers me are the things that have been said and the actions taken since his death. "Michael is worth more dead than he was alive" is one that baffles me. This coming from a father. Wow. So many jumped on the death of Michael, it brings the reality of what greed is, to the surface. So many "knew" about his addiction to medicines. So many "tried" to help him get control. I really do not believe these people.

I hope that one day we will know the truth.

I just love this picture of Michael. It orginally appeared in Ebony. It will forever remind me of his "never grow old" outlook on life.

May He Rest In Peace.

Jackson's sister blames doctor for Michael's death

Janet Jackson blames Dr. Conrad Murray for her brother Michael's death.

She told ABC News in an interview to air Wednesday that Murray should no longer be allowed to practice medicine. "He was the one that was administering," Jackson said. "I think he is responsible."

Prosecutors in Los Angeles are weighing charges against Murray in the pop singer's death. Murray told police he administered a powerful anesthetic to the singer shortly before Jackson died June 25.

A spokeswoman for the doctor, Miranda Sevcik, said Monday he continues to maintain he neither prescribed or administered anything to Jackson that should have killed him.

Jackson told ABC's Robin Roberts that she was at her home in New York on June 25 when her assistant called to say Michael had been taken to the hospital. She told relatives to call her when they got to the hospital and grew concerned when she wasn't getting any calls back.

She says that a day doesn't go by when she doesn't think of Michael. "It just didn't ring true to me. It felt like a dream," she said. "It's still so difficult for me to believe.

Father Of Jackson Accuser Found Dead Of Apparent Suicide

Father Of Jackson Accuser Found Dead Of Apparent Suicide

JERSEY CITY, N.J. (WPIX) - The father of a boy who accused Michael Jackson of molesting him 15 years ago was found dead of an apparent suicide, Jersey City Police confirmed to PIX News.

According to authorities, the body of Evan Chandler was discovered in his Jersey City residence at about 5:35 p.m. on Nov. 5 after he went missing.

Chandler, who was being treated for an unknown illness, missed an appointment with his doctor which prompted concern, Jersey City spokesperson Stan Eason said.

After several failed attempts to get in touch with his patient, the doctor, who was not immediately identified, called the building's concierge to check on Chandler.

The concierge later discovered the victim's lifeless body inside the apartment at the Liberty Towers located on Hudson Street, Eason said.

Police say Chandler suffered a self inflicted gun shot wound to the head. Authorities are treating the case as a suicide.

It was back in 1994, when Chander's then-12-year-old son Jordy Chandler accused Jackson of molesting him on several occasions between 1991 and 1994. The father and son went after the King of Pop in court and later settled the case for a reported $20 million.

In 2006, Jordan Chandler filed a request for a restraining order against his father after he allegedly struck Jordan over the head from behind with a twelve and a half pound weight.

In the wake of Jackson's untimely death in June 2009, an internet rumor surfaced that claimed Jordan Chandler confessed to lying to police about being molested by Jackson. Jordan was coached by his father to tell the outlandish story in a scheme to get millions, the report claimed. An investigation later determined no such confession took place.

Janet Jackson: Michael in denial over drug problem

Janet Jackson says she recognized her brother Michael's drug problem, and tried to help him, but that he rebuffed those attempts to intervene. "You can't make 'em drink the water," Jackson told ABC News in an interview airing Wednesday. When asked if her brother was in denial about his addiction, she replied, "Possibly."

"I wish he could answer this question for you and not me," she told ABC's Robin Roberts. "I felt that he was in denial."

She blames Dr. Conrad Murray, Michael Jackson's personal physician, for his death June 25.

Prosecutors in Los Angeles are weighing charges against Murray, who told police he administered a powerful anesthetic to the singer shortly before he died.

During the interview, the 43-year-old Janet Jackson spoke of her upcoming diet book, "True You," which chronicles her lifelong struggle to control her weight.

She has gained some mastery over her self-image, she said, after years of "just picking yourself apart all the time because you're so used to being kind of picked apart."

She said she hasn't seen "This Is It," the new documentary film spotlighting her late brother as he prepared for the concert tour that would've taken place last summer.

"I definitely won't, not right now," she said. "I don't know if I will ever see it."

According to the affidavit, during the search of Dr. Murray's home and office, cops recovered a sales receipt from Applied Pharmacy. The receipt showed that on May 12, 2009, Dr. Murray purchased 4 100 ml vials of Propofol. He also purchased 3 vials of benzos. One of the drugs Murray purchased -- Flumazenil -- is actually an antidote to a benzo, used to counteract the effects of benzos.

The receipt for the drugs totaled $853, with a $65 FedEx fee to overnight the drugs.

Michael Jackson wins 4 at AMAs; Swift top artist

The King of Pop is still winning awards and setting records doing it.

But while Michael Jackson won a record four posthumous awards, he couldn't beat Taylor Swift for top honors at Sunday night's American Music Awards.

The 19-year-old was named the year's favorite artist, giving Jackson his only loss of the night, and giving her five trophies in all.

"Music has never been ultimately about competition," she said as she accepted the top prize via satellite from London, where she is to perform Monday. "To even be mentioned in a category with Michael Jackson, who we will miss and love forever, is an unimaginable honor."

The victories came during a performance-filled show that closed with an S&M-themed, sexually charged performance by Adam Lambert.

Swift was also named favorite female pop/rock and country artist and favorite adult-contemporary artist. Her album, "Fearless," won favorite country album. Jackson was voted favorite male artist in the pop/rock and soul/R&B categories. His 2003 greatest-hits album, "Number Ones," also won favorite album in both categories, bringing his career AMA total to 23, making him the most honored artist in AMA history.

Jackson's victories were among the highlights of the evening, which also featured an eye-popping performance by Lady Gaga, a special award for Whitney Houston and that jaw-dropping number from Lambert, who traded in his "American Idol" image for sex, leather and chains Sunday.

I could not believe the news at noon today. It showed Dr. Murray returning to his practice in Houston with a lot of supporters around defending him. Why would people go to him after seeing what happened to MJ? I noticed his office was in a depressed area of Houston. Hard to think that he is still allowed to practice medicine. I would think he would be at least suspended.

Texanne, I just saw the news saying that Murray was not charged yet. He was going back to open his business today because he needs money to pay the child support he was in court about last week.

Said that MJ mother was not happy about this.
