Teen Girl Reported Missing; Man Sought For Questioning
17-Year-Old Possibly Seen Day After Disappearance, Police Say
POSTED: 10:04 pm EST January 6, 2008

A 17-year-old Bloomington girl was reported missing after she failed to arrive at her grandmother's house in Linton on Friday, and investigators want to speak with a man who allegedly was seen with her Saturday, state police said.

Megan Boulanger told her parents Friday afternoon that she was going to drive from Bloomington to Linton to see her grandmother, but she never arrived, police said.

State police said they were told late Saturday afternoon that Boulanger was missing. Since then, investigators learned that Boulanger allegedly was seen with an acquaintance, H. Scott Alsman, 21, in Boulanger's car at a gas station in Linton at about 1 p.m. Saturday, police said.

Police said they do not suspect foul play, though investigators want to talk to Alsman, a Linton resident, because he was the last person reported to have been in contact with her.

Boulanger's car is a royal blue 2008 Ford Mustang with an Indiana temporary, paper license plate. Police said they don't know the temporary plate's number.

Police said anyone with the information on the whereabouts of Boulanger or Alsman should call the Bloomington state police post at 800-423-1286 or, if calling from outside Indiana, 877-477-1847.

Police: Missing Teen Found, Is OK
POSTED: 10:04 pm EST January 6, 2008
UPDATED: 10:53 pm EST January 6, 2008

A 17-year-old Bloomington girl who was reported missing after she failed to arrive at her grandmother's house in Linton was found safe at a Wal-Mart in Linton on Sunday evening, police said.

Police found Megan Boulanger with a 21-year-old man -- an acquaintance of hers -- at the store after people told authorities the two were there.

Linton police were detaining Boulanger and the man so that state police -- who were investigating Boulanger's three-day disappearance -- could question them, authorities said.

Boulanger told her parents Friday afternoon that she was going to drive from Bloomington to Linton to see her grandmother, but she never arrived, police said.

State police said they were told late Saturday afternoon that Boulanger was missing, and they alerted the news media Sunday evening.
