Default Lisa Hatchell, 37, Msg. Philadelphia, PA, 7/19/03

I saw this case on Nancy Grace last night and it really got my attention... When Lisa went missing she'd had a fight with her boyfriend. The LE never searched the home they were living in. The boyfriend took a lie detector test and it came back inconclusive. Nothing has been done on this case since that time... Lisa has been forgotten by everyone but her mother and her 2 children.

The Mysterious Disappearance of Lisa Hatchell

By Mona Benson

A mother of two and a military veteran is missing and her family desperately needs your help.

Lisa Michelle Hatchell seems to have vanished without a trace. The Willingboro, New Jersey woman had just turned 37, when she went missing on her birthday, July 19th, 2003. That was three years ago!

Police say there was a reported sighting of Lisa Hatchell in the 5400 block of Warrington Avenue in West Philadelphia the night of July 19th. So far, nothing has turned up.

Her aunt says it is just not like Lisa to abandon her mother and two children unless she's unable to make contact. Katherine Farmer/Missing Woman's Aunt:She's got a little girl and she asks about her mother. Her son, her mother, most of all, her mother's heart is just aching, I'm telling you. Lisa Hatchell is 5 feet 3 inches tall. She weighs 135 pounds. She has black hair and black eyes.

Her married name was Cotton. She has, in the past, used her boyfriend's last name, Henderson.

There is a small scar under her neck. She has a birthmark on her outer right thigh. There are very small scars on her ankles from insect bites; and she previously suffered a fractured left ankle.

There are pictures of Lisa in her army fatigues. She was in the military for three years. If you have seen her, please pick up the telephone. Katherine Farmer/Missing Woman's Aunt:All my sister wants is some closure on this. She just needs to know if she is dead or alive. If you know Lisa's whereabouts, make that call to the Citizens Crime Commission at 215-546-Tips. Receive a $1000 reward.

I saw that too, Harlett, and I'm glad it's finally getting some attention.

Did you notice the reward shown on the screen? $1000 I'm thinking the family raised that by themselves, because the case has been more or less ignored until now.

The neighbors reported them fighting, she disappears, they briefly question the b/f, never check his house. Bungled from the beginning.

Default lisa hatchell missing since 7-1*-03

thanks to every one for your support of my missing baby girl, lisa michelle hatchell. no one knows the pain a mother suffers when her child is missing and the authoruzes isn't done anything to help. thanks to nancy grace and the art finnell show on cnn and cn8 for taking interest in the case.
i would like for every one who read this reply to write letters to the gov of pa and to the senator of pa and to the missing person dept who is handling this case, and encourage them to take a closer look at this case.

yes i personal put the reward money up, i reach out to lots of ornerzations but no ome could help me . what hurts me the most is the fact the police dept didn't feel like my daughter was important enought to do a csi, after i reported to them about the fight. they never even went out to question the neighbor s about the fight,

alonie I am so sorry about Lisa, I had not heard about her case until I saw it on Nancy Grace the other night. I was absolutely floored at the lack of LE involvement in this case. I hope some new light will be shed on Lisa's case and you will finally get some answers.

The main thing is to generate some public awareness about Lisa, writing letters and sending emails to the media to get them interested in finding out why nothing has been done.

I am so sorry, Alonie. I would think they would've talked to the neighbors and searched the house sine it was reported they had a fight. Keeping her story out there is important. What are the local newspapers in her neighborhood, a letter-writing campaign might prompt some new action by the police department.
