JACKSONIVLLE, Fla. -- Police are searching for a missing woman who disappeared from her home, and they say her son kidnapped her.

They say Richard Dotson, 63, kidnapped his diabetic mother, Mary, 84, from her home Wednesday night. Mary also suffers from a heart condition and dementia.

Her son, Richard, suffers from a bipolar disorder and has been placed on medication for his disorder by a physician. They say Richard refuses to take his medicine.

Witnesses tell police they overheard Richard saying he wanted his mother to live with him. Police say Richard was upset with his mother's care taker situation.

He was last seen wearing a plaid shirt. Mary is wearing a turquoise jacket, red shirt and pants, and black shoes.

They were last seen in a gold Lexus LS430; Florida tag 179WMK.

Anyone with information in regards to the location of Mary and Richard Dotson is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office at (904) 630-0500.

I wonder what about the caretaker situation he was upset about. And did this woman have a guardian appointed, etc.?
