SUFFOLK

Police tonight are looking for a man who went missing early Wednesday morning.

Lt. Debbie George, a police spokeswoman, said that Matthew Charles Giron, 28, has not been heard from since he left his Dutchland Trail residence for work.

George said police believe that Giron left voluntarily. But there also are "circumstances that lead investigators to be concerned for his safety," she said. Those concerns were not detailed.

Giron is described as white, 5 feet 7 inches tall and 200 pounds with facial hair. He may bend driving a mint-blue, 2000, four-door-model Honda Civic with Virginia license plates KJB6920.

Anyone who knows Giron’s whereabouts is asked to call police at (757) 514-7947.

Missing Suffolk man found dead, police do not suspect foul play

Suffolk police located Matthew Giron earlier today. He and his vehicle were located in Hampton.

Giron was found deceased. Suffolk Police do not suspect any foul play.

Found in Hampton - about 20-30 minutes from where I live. I don't go there. Very few decent areas. I will be interested in hearing the rest of this story.

Strange I didn't hear about this on the news, I've been watching it all morning.

Just went to his Myspace page, and from the messages his wife left him it sounds like it may have been a suicide.

I feel horrible for her.

From the myspace account, it does sound like he took his own life.
