The child has been recovered and in custody of child services.

Taken at 9 months and recovered at age 12. That has got to be hard for everybody concerned.

Karen Peterson is a child psychologist at Phoenix Children's hospital. She said the emotional toll this could have on a 12-year-old boy is enormous.

I can't imagine what the mother of the child has gone through as well. I do hope this child will get psychologocial help. I also hope those 12 years with this man was good for him. To have him taken from his mother when the nurturing/bonding is what this child missed out on and his mother.
